If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on United Potato Growers of America requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. smileguy91talk 17:04, 24 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Chong Chiu Sen (Sai Madhana Mohan Kumar):[edit]

Hi, thanks for taking an interest in editing articles, but was it really necessary to tag this article again for a speedy? Thanks super^.^] 18:27, 10 December 2015 (UTC) I sent it right after so I did not see it.[reply]

Janx Spirit[edit]

Hi. I declined your speedy request as the article wasn't 'nonsense'. It was actually a copyright violation of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (via a quotation at Goodreads). The nonsense criterion on Wikipedia doesn't apply to things that are understandable. It's for things like 'ttyyt uytytjkhiooppo hjhggfdfd', or 'sloop down grace finagling veritably uptight exogamy gribble', which is too bad to even be a machine translation (but all those words are real). (You have to be careful not to tag as nonsense things written in some form of Foreign, unless you can read that particular language, and leave a note on the talk page to explain.) 'Nonsense' is really quite rare here, and often merely indicates a test page. Anyway, I deleted that article as a copyvio. Peridon (talk) 19:04, 10 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion[edit]

Re this speedy deletion tag: it is generally considered polite to allow at least 15 minutes after the creation of an article before tagging it for no content or notability, especially when it is the editor's first contribution. New editors often save an article before its ready because they are unfamiliar with how the Wikipedia editing system works. Tagging the article too early can be bitey and can scare away a new editor. Don't delete this page please because I have been editing the ITV News Calendar page and a user has removed the presenters without an article, so I decided to add this page, I will get more information later. I also didn't understand what you meant about a reference. Bob N1C2 (talk) 21:47, 10 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

How Wikipedia works[edit]

Hi, I noticed that in your efforts to show your friend how Wikipeida works you vandalized our article on Tchaikovsky's 6th Symphony and deleted our article about Donald Trump. Please be sure to tell your friend that these stunts resulted in you being blocked from editing Wikipedia for a week. The following is a templated message.
