If people are notable enough to have a Wikipedia article, they belong in an article on the town they were born in, and the town associated with their work. Lists and categories are complementary in this regard. I have restored your deletions of people from Winnetka, Illinois. As for the ones you have prodded, they also go on the list and stay there until the articles are actually deleted, and are removed then.

I strongly urge you to become more familiar with our guidelines on WP:BIO before continuing to propose for deletion. For example, people who win a Hugo award or any other major prize are unquestionably notable. DGG ( talk ) 05:27, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You're probably talking about my PROD on the Geoffrey A. Landis article. See my comment on the talk page; I acknowledged your arguments, but I will still put it up for WP:AFD. As for the other articles I've PRODed, they're separate issues to be considered altogether. Cervantes de Leon (talk) 00:07, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
As for your restoration of the list of people from Winnetka, IL on its article, I acknowledge that--with the exception of the people whose origination from Winnetka is unverified and who are not listed in the "People from Winnetka, IL" category, namely, Pat Ryan (executive) and Jerry Voorhis. I will delete them from the list. If you have any objections. please voice them. Cervantes de Leon (talk) 00:14, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
