2018 ACC Football Season[edit]

Hey Chadmb2003! I noticed you edit a lot of college football pages and have been editing the 2018 ACC Season page. I was curious what your thoughts were about where to put the NC State re-scheduled page. I threw it under week 3 because that's where the canceled game was, but didn't really have a good reason for putting it there. Do you think a week should be added at the end or do you want to keep it in week 3? Let me know what you think. swimmer33 12:33, 3 October 2018 (UTC)

@Swimmer33: I'm okay with it, however I'm 50/50 on creating a "Week Fourteen" section and placing it there, separate from the Championship game. What are your thoughts on that? Chadmb2003 (talk) 13:14, 3 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I'm 50/50 as well. Do you know of any other seasons where a make-up game occurred? I know there was one in the ACC in 2017, but I just put it in the week it was originally scheduled. swimmer33 13:30, 3 October 2018 (UTC)

2019 ACC Baseball Tournament[edit]

Hi, how does one make the longer dashes for the pool play tables? I see you are going in and fixing the dashes periodically.

Iwentdwarfing (talk) 22:53, 23 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Iwentdwarfing: You can either do – or just copy the longer dash from somewhere else in the file. Copying it usually looks cleaner in the source than the ndash method. Chadmb2003 (talk) 12:55, 24 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks![edit]

Hello,

Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.

I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!

From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.

If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.

Thank you!

ACC Baseball Tournament[edit]

I appreciate you filling in the blanks on attendances and making the references look good for the 2021 Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Tournament page. I was thinking about how in pool play we color the winner green. Do you think it would be too much to color the teams that don't advance either red or grey? Not sure if that would add to the clarity or add to the confusion. Thoughts? Swimmer33 (talk) 15:29, 28 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Swimmer33 I think it's fine with just the winner being marked in green. Previous years championships (2019 for example) used the same convention of pool winners being marked in green.
    • That works for me. Just an FYI, there are some previous years (2017 at least) where there isn't even green in pool play. Swimmer33 (talk) 18:53, 28 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

ACC Football Coaching Records[edit]

Hi Chadmb. I noticed that someone made some changes to the [[1]] head coaching records and filled in the 2022 records. I'm not sure if these are correct and was wondering if you wanted to double check them. I think I remember you filled them in the first time so I thought you might have an easy way to do it. If not I was going to check them eventually but it might not be for a while. The same IP filled them in for 2022 so if anything is wrong in 2021 I'm assuming the error carried over. Thanks! Swimmer33 (talk) 18:28, 1 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Swimmer33 Only one coach had their record slightly off. That IP has also made edits and additions with bad grammar that I will clean up. Chadmb2003 (talk) 20:51, 1 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a lot! I appreciate all the help on the ACC football pages! Swimmer33 (talk) 20:57, 1 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
