War Governors' Conference[edit]

Nice work there. I worked on it a little. Seems like a lot if you check the history, but it's really just a lot of little changes. Welcome again, and happy editing.

Oh, and one of the images (photo) that you uploaded has been tagged for speedy deletion. It looks like it's old enough to qualify under the same criteria as the other one (engraving). I don't know that much about images and the rules for them, but I'm sure someone around here can help you figure out how to get it tagged properly so it stays.--Steven J. Hi again. First, when you're starting a new conversation on a talk page, best thing to do is to click on the little "+" just to the right of "edit this page." That will automatically create a new section at the bottom. To add to an ongoing conversation, click on the "edit" link on the right-hand margin. I think the reason your search didn't work is that you may not have spelled the article name exactly as it was spelled in the article title. I created a redirect—War Governors Conference-for what I thought the most common misspelling would be. That automatically directs to your article (try it). I can do a couple more. Or maybe you'd like to so you can learn how. To see the actual redirect page, go to your article and click on "what links here" under the search box on the left. That will give you a list of articles that link to yours. The redirect page is on that list.

As far as that picture is concerned, if you go to the image page you'll see a big box has been added and within that box is an explanation of what's going on. Look where it says "Dear uploader" for what to do to fix it. Basically, Wikipedia, has had problems with copyright law regarding images and since anyone can upload any image, they have procedures for speedily deleting anything that's questionable to keep themselves out of trouble. The description of the copyright status that you typed into the "Summary" section indicates that the image is not suitable for use on Wikipedia. Again, this isn't really an area I know much about, but if you go to the image page and click on some of the links in that box, I think you'll find what you're looking for. Congrats on getting that image back up. I knew you could do it. This, I think, is the reason that a lot of Wikipedia articles seem like they could benefit from more images. Once you upload an image, the burden is on you to show that it's kosher or away it goes. Just as a matter of form, it might be nice to put in the summary where it was published.

Maybe you'd like to consider doing an article on the Logan House next. ;-)

P.S. Do you know why it doesn't come up when I do a Google search?

Hey, I just found this: File:Damondenysphoto.jpg (click on it). Look at the box under that photo. If you can get the copyright holder to agree to those terms and tag it with that same tag, you can probably get your image back up. I think the issue with Google is that it just takes some time before their search engine sees it, but I don't really know much about that, either.
