Block Appeal[edit]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

ChaoticKappa (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I was blocked for being a suspected sockpuppet of User:Bugmenot123123123. I am not a sockpuppet of this user, but I have used two bugmenots account previously that are probably linked to the user (User:Anonymouser11 and User:Wizzakk). I used those accounts because I wanted to contribute, but I could not make an account at my school. I made this account at home with my home email address. I will not use any bugmenot accounts anymore and I will contribute by making content easier to understand.

Accept reason:

Now that the "bugmenot" query has been resolved (see below) it seems that this block can be lifted. As long as we have an assurance that you will not use bugmenot accounts again in the future, and will stick to this account, there seems to be no reason to keep you blocked. The two accounts (User:Anonymouser11 and User:Wizzakk) along with their passwords were listed on bugmenot.com to be used by anyone. I have no idea about User:DarkDDay and User:Nemke mml. ChaoticKappa (talk) 14:09, 17 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, I finally understand - I'd never heard of bugmenot.com, which appears to be a login/password sharing site. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 14:36, 17 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Citing sources[edit]

Hi ChaoticKappa! Just a quick friendly reminder that any material which you add should be cited to a reliable source so other people can verify what is written is accurate. This is especially important for biographies of living (or recently deceased) people, where contentious material must be sourced. Your recent edit to Aleksandr Askoldov included contentious information without a citation, and edits adding unsourced information would normally be undone on sight, I was actually looking to add a source to the article anyway. May 2018[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Chelsea High School (Michigan), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. John from Idegon (talk) 18:53, 23 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Chelsea School District Logo.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file licensed as "for non-commercial use only", "no derivative use", "for Wikipedia use only", or "used with permission"; and it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag and if necessary, a complete fair use rationale.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. This image can be used if it is licensed properly. The license on the school's website is not compatible with ours, as it restricts commercial use and ours doesn't. However, the file can be re-uploaded to en.wiki, as a Fair use exception. See the image that is currently on the article for the wording for the licensing. Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:22, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
