Well then

Well it definitely needs a new title. That picture is insulting to drummers, calling himself (if it's him) a session drummer? Can't the caption just be left at "A drummer practicing?" I don't see how he's a session drummer, if you know what a session drummer is. If there needs to be a picture of a session drummer there, then that picture should be taken down and someone like Josh Freese should be put up. I think a different caption is needed, seeing as that drummer in no way is a session drummer or is using a session quality set. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.185.188.132 (talkcontribs)

Hello HawkerTyphoon

Hello, thank you for your Message. I was just messing about on James Masterton's Page. I only left my comments on his page for about an hour - if that - then I erased them.

I realise that it was childish of me. However, they were hardly the worst things ever written - certainly about him.

I will refrain from doing such things in future, but if I see errors on Wikipedia Pages, or omissions, I will correct them. I cannot bear to see errors on this or that matter or subject.

Mr. Masteron has a Weekly Chart Commentary Column, at Launch.uk. Nearly every Week he makes silly errors in it. If you try to tell him in an E-mail, his answer is to block your E-mails - THAT is what I call an extremely childish response.

He is not interested in being corrected - only in feeling untouchable & superior.

Hence, if the man annoys me - or anyone else - his Wikipedia Page, was the only place to show what I/we think of him.

However, as I said, I will not do it again.

Best Wishes,

Colin —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.5.163.139 (talkcontribs) .

Steve Wozniak

I reverted this reversion because Your Only Real Friend's edit introduced a necessary apostrophe. Michael Slone (talk) 01:57, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Meh. Pouint of contention: I was always taught that you put an apostrophe where there is a letter missing. I'm not really in the mood to argue it. I still think I am right, but for the sake of it being 3am, I'll let it lie.
This time.
xxx HawkerTyphoon 02:12, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The apostrophe is also used to mark case. The character Woz, as far as I can tell from reading Eureka 7, is not just one who hacks on ships, but in particular is the hacker of the ship Gekko-Go. That would make him the ship's hacker. But if you still feel the apostrophe is unwarranted, I won't argue if you remove it. Michael Slone (talk) 03:05, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Neo-Nazism

Please, restrain from further vandalization of this article. There are so many who agreed to keep these two paragraphs - just check the history of changes!

<quote> Please do not re-add these paragraphs - they have been discussed on talk, and the current concensus is that they are NOT to be included. If you can find some other users who agree with you, I'll stop reverting your edits. But until then, the community doesnt agree with you. HawkerTyphoon 22:26, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

You seem to be the only person re-adding the changes in, is all. Who else has been? I can't see anyone off-handHawkerTyphoon 22:30, 22 June 2006 (UTC) </quote>

Please, note that I am not the one who wants these paragraphs seen here! It is quite visible from the history of the changes! Also, do not speak about consensus nor about community - it's simply meaningless!
So, you are stubbornly removing the paragraphs! The same way - they'll go back!

about edit wars

I would recommend that both you and 4.249.9.152 (talk · contribs) read the guidelines on dealing with edit wars.

<quote>

Edit Wars Alright. We shouldn't argue about this; I am not Croatian and I have no intention of ever going there. I do, however, feel that the two paragraphs don't really have much do with the article in question: I think they rerad a bit like an arguement for a cetrtain point of view! From your standard of English, i'm assuming you're Croatian (No offence intended) - why do you want the paragraphs in? HawkerTyphoon 20:25, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

</quote>

Just a few words:

  • no need to tell me who you are not, nor to ask me Who am I
  • these two paragraphs are just about revival of the neo-nazism in Croatia

Re: Neo-Nazism Edit War

I've done some rewriting per WP:NPOV, but I've also noted on the talk page that the passage cannot survive with the sources provided per WP:RS. RadioKirk (u|t|c) 20:30, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the article Neo-Nazism, specifically the part about Croatia.... I'm involved in an edit war with an IP address. I reverted some of his edits, as what i saw on the talk page convinced me that the article wasn't NPOV. I've read into the matter somewhat, and I'm rather convinced it isn't. I removed the offending paragraphs, but the IP address added them back. I left notes on his talk page, but He doesn't seem to reply. he mentions on my talk page the Concensus and Community are meaningless, and when I tried to meet him half way, by applying an 'unbalanced' tag but leaving the paragraphs in, he removes it. Any suggestions? I think we'd both appreciate your input! HawkerTyphoon 20:00, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Edit wars are a bad thing here on the English Wikipedia and the three revert rule is a policy designed to eliminate them. The edit history of Neo-Nazism indicates that you have clearly broken this rule within a 24-hour period. By rights, I should block you and the offending IP address for this violation. I notice that you have attempted to resolve the dispute on Talk:Neo-Nazism, which is a good thing. As this hasn't worked so far, I will encourage you to take the next step and go on with negotiation in order to build consensus. Mediation might be better in this instance - I leave the choice up to you. I will report the 3RR violations on the administrators' noticeboard to bring this to the attention of the administrator community and hopefully prevent this from reoccuring.  (aeropagitica)  (talk)  22:03, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. This is your warning and advice. Removing and re-inserting tags is *not* immune from 3RR. You were not reverting blatant vandalism, which is the only thing immune from 3RR. Please be more careful in future or you will be blocked William M. Connolley 09:30, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

quite all right your cause is noble Dragon Emperor 03:16, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You're under the wrong impression...

The bottom dropped out for civility with Wiki-star months ago, as edits over anime or manga have precious little to do with it; the issue isn't with the subject but the user. Wiki's got a laundry list of complaints over taking others' edits or suggestions as criticism or opposite of *his* truth, long before he ever touched the Buu article at Wikipedia. Compromise with Wiki is "I jump, you follow", and he's got a nasty tendency to tear into editors or delete discussion pages he disagrees with.

But people talk about home-skillet enough, so peruse his case file at WP:ANI for further info if you'd like. Papacha 03:31, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bill Gates

I deleted the following line from the Bill Gates article.

"Although he has never been officially diagnosed, many people have identified some of Gates' personality traits with that of someone with Asperger's Syndrome"

It was sitting there, obviously non-encyclopedic, with a 'citation needed' notice at the end. It's no mystery why something like that would be deleted, but if you're going to go and restore a sourceless claim like that you should probably back yourself up on the article's Talk page. I've deleted the sentence again, and if you decide you really want it restored, you should find a credible media source that makes this claim and cite it. --relaxathon 04:29, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I submitted the obituary of Teresa M Halbach because she is worthy of remembrance. Besides that, she's mentioned tons of times on Steven Avery's page. If that monster gets a page, why can't she? Her story and her picture have been everywhere (in Wisconsin, and I believe it also made national news, too) the past nine months. As the victim of the most brutal, planned murder in Wisconsin to happen for quite some time, not to mention being among one of the reasons the death penalty is being discussed again. If you don't agree, well, that's your opinion and I have to respect it. It's just an obituary. I didn't write a ten page article or anything. Thanks.

Editing

Hi Richard,

I hope I'm doing this correctly, as I'm new here at wikipedia.org, and still trying to learn my way around.

On the 26th (I think) I added a coupled of links to the rape page and noticed you reverted the page and deleted the links. I hope I wasn't doing anything prohibited or something. I just added a couple of valuable recourses under the appropriate categories. One was After Silence, and the other Dancing in the Darkness. Because I didn't know how wiki worked yet, today I added them again thinking that they were deleted by mistake. Again, I hope I'm not breaking any rules.

Thanks in advance for any clarification you may give me. --Lost ocean heart 01:36, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the welcome and the tutorials, I'm sure they will come in handy!

The two websites I added are not commercial sites actually. Hopefully it's not against the rules to add our own websites, as I run them both. They are created from survivors for other survivors, and don't "sell" anything other than support and information. I hope this helps clear the misunderstanding.

Thanks again for replying so quickly :) --Lost ocean heart 01:56, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Quick Question

The AC/DC article has, for some strange reason, not one...but two band member boxes. Discussions have taken place that, obviously, having 2 is stupid and that one has to go. More than one attempt has been made to remove the "non-standard" member box and it keeps coming back. Perhaps you did not read the edit summary? Just wondering why the rv? Good day mate! 216.21.150.44 02:42, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rjensen?

Question: Any reason you reverted this edit? Thanks. --LV (Dark Mark) 19:51, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, if you didn't care for the wording, please use a regular revert (not one with VP). Doing what you did is saying that his edit is vandalism, which it wasn't. A little explanation in the edit summary would go a long way. His edit may not have been correct, but please be more discretionary when using VandalProof. Thanks. --LV (Dark Mark) 19:57, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The BNP does not favour ending immigration entirely. I have family members who are active in the party, and I can assure you it's policies extend only to non-Europeans. Please stop revrting my edits on that page and do not label them as vandalism.

Hi. You recently tagged elite basturds for speedy deletion. Thank you! However, I am afraid to say that I cannot speedy it since it does not meet the criteria for speedy deletion. Alternate avenues that you can take to get the article deleted are WP:PROD and WP:AFD. I prodded the article for you, but if somebody removes it, I would recommend taking it to AFD. Budapest

Hi!

I've contacted you, because a fairly large amount of edits that I have done been deleted on the grounds that #1 I used copyrighted images, #2 I deleted other people's contributions. The page I am talking about is 'Budapest'. My reasons for deleting the 'picture gallery' and the part about the 'bridges of the Danube' were that #1 I thought they did not look proper at all, 2# I replaced the picture gallery with a series of much better quality pictures spread out through the page. If I may ask you to revert to my version, I would be really grateful.

Sincerely, Dome89

p.s.: From now on I will use the talk page to give reasons for the changes that I make.

Bad apostrophe

Dear Richard, your user page starts with this quotation: "Quantity has a Quality all of it's own...". I do not believe it needs the apostrophe. It should simply read "Quantity has a Quality all of its own..." - you only need an apostrophe in "it's" if it means "it is" or "it has" - not as a possessive. I hope this helps, rathet than annoys. I wouldn't normally bother you with such a small matter but your Talk page header does say "anything goes" or words to that effect and I thought you might prefer to get this right.
