Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Jorge Fucile, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Full back (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Point of view[edit]

Hi Che; edits such as this one are not acceptable, as it is full of non-neutral point of view, which violates WP:NPOV - one of our three core content policies. If you need any more information or help, please ask. Thanks, GiantSnowman 20:02, 19 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • About the heights, not all the sources have the same height, so you should go with the official club profile, if not i don't think any link will source anything. Thanks - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 15:51, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there CHE, VASCO here,

again, you fail to see who WP operates. After i cleanup the storyline, you reverted me, reinserting game after game AFTER game he played for LYON, not how a proper story's written please (and no need to insert ALWAYS where a match is played, especially when the stadium does not even WP article). You also added "2011-12" sub-section after LYON, when it should be part of the same sub-section (LYON). Ah, and when you reverted me, you also engaged in overlinking (COUPE DE FRANCE, STADE GERLAND, both already referred to/linked in the lines above).

Please respect other people's work, happy editing - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 18:14, 8 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, i also see you reverted me on EVERYTHING in honours, why may i ask? 1 - no need for the numbers after the competition, especially if the player has not won much as in this case; 2 - why did you replace the big dashes in seasons with the (WRONG) small ones? --Vasco Amaral (talk) 18:23, 8 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
More: you reinstated this bit of POV after i removed it ("He quickly established himself as a fan favorite among OL fans with his energy and drive, his leadership skills and his clinical finishing."). This is not the way WP operates, please. Ah, but when i have to apologize i have no problem doing it: i see that, as i cleanedup HONOURS, i removed some of them, i have already re-added them, sorry. --Vasco Amaral (talk) 18:34, 8 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for replying (after nearly two years, better late than never i guess). I already reinstated the 1,85 as the good height, but please stop adding a reference to the article that's already an external link (his OFFICIAL club profile) OK? It's a needless repetition.

Thanks, happy editing and i apologize for reverting you 100% --AL (talk) 23:29, 3 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • About Julien Escudé, we are not allowed to use word-by-word citations from sites in articles OK? You have been told this before. Thanks --AL (talk) 00:48, 23 June 2013

I honestly do not recall someone telling me this, or if they did, it probably was not as clear as you state it. Are the rules for posting on soccer players listed somewhere? I also noticed that many Wikepedia articles use word-by-word citations from referenced articles. Seems like it is a common practice and I do not see what is the big deal if it is referenced. (UTC)

Please read Wikipedia:Copyright violations, i think it's this. Also, thanks four your note on Armindo Tué Na Bangna, appreciated. Happy editing --AL (talk) 14:51, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Playing ability[edit]

If you are going to add a section on footballers' 'playing style' or 'playing ability' then it has to be strenuously referenced, bearing in mind WP:RS, WP:V, WP:OR, WP:SYNTH and WP:NPOV. If you continue to add unreferenced or poorly referenced information about BLPs then your edits might be construed as disruptive, and it might lead to a block. If you have any questions, or need any help, please ask. GiantSnowman 13:58, 25 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

When adding information about playing ability/style, I am just adding info that details a players characteristics. Many Wikipedia articles are a bit lacking in those details, they just mention biographic data and basic chronological history. But its nice to know is someone has pace, is good on headers etc. I never talk bad about any players and would never do such a thing and 95% of my posts are referenced. Some of the descriptions of the Wigan players that you reverted came form the actual Wigan website player profile, I did not quote them word for word because some editors revert quotes that are referenced word for word but I did reference the cite. Anyway feel free to revert if you do not agree with my additions or comment on them.

Also I did take time to read the articles mentioned above. I will try my best to comply with them and if I reference an article I will do my best to make my contribution as neutral bias as possible. Che1563 (talk) 20:16, 25 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Che1563. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Mauro Andrés Caballero".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Legacypac (talk) 02:57, 5 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
