Screenonline[edit]

I see you've added some screenonline links. I recently added a template to make it easier to do them. See templates Template:Screenonline name and Template:Screenonline title. Use them like

  • {{Screenonline name|id=487433|name=Alastair Sim}}
  • {{Screenonline title|id=487494|name=Cottage To Let}}

where the id number is the Screenonline ID number as given in the URL. -- SteveCrook 07:13, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

November 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added such as to the page List of years in television do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Durova360 17:42, 8 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In follow up to your reply, you are of course welcome to expand the articles and use that site as a reference. But for several months your contributions to this website have consisted of nothing other than adding that link to a large number of articles as an external link. That behavior is spamming, and the quality of the website is irrelevant. Wikipedia's spam policy does not make an exception when the link happens to be highbrow. Museums and university library collections have been spammed in similar ways, and get basically the same response. Certainly it would be useful to have a website whose primary function is to provide useful links to information. That type of site is called a search engine and that is explicitly outside this project's scope. Again, you are welcome to expand articles using that site as a reference. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. July 2017[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at WP:MCQ, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 15:18, 12 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
