Orphaned non-free media (File:DMF_PMS_Nourish.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:DMF_PMS_Nourish.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 11:19, 23 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for May 19[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited We Heart It, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Android (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

June 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to List of virtual communities with more than 1 million users may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

Speedy deletion nomination of We Heart It[edit]

Hello Chelseapearl,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged We Heart It for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. TRL (talk) 06:19, 20 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • I transferred this to your userspace at User:Chelseapearl/We Heart It. The problem is that while it's not exactly written like it's listing its rates or anything, there are several buzz words and phrases in the article that come across a little puffy. The ones that stand out are sentences like "We Heart It describes itself as "A home for your inspiration" and a place to "Organize and share the things you love."" I know that you're quoting this through the website, but it still came across as a little promotional. I do see where there's some notability here, so rather than delete this I thought it'd be better to move this to your userspace where you can polish this up a little more. • I edited it slightly. We almost never list every social media source for anything except in rare circumstances where the person/entity has such an overwhelming presence on there that their social media interactions would merit almost an article in and of itself. Such exceptions would be say, Angelina Jolie. Even the bigger corporations such as Apple Inc don't really have their social media links on the page. That's probably one of the things that made this look like a promotional page. I've also removed the links to merchant sites such as Google Play and iTunes. These are generally not seen as appropriate to link to at all, not even as a primary source, as they're places to download/purchase the software. Since all you're doing is saying that it's available on these formats, that's not something that generally needs to be backed up. Like the social media links, this is something that also makes people feel that a page could be promotional in tone. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 08:00, 20 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
