Sandbox[edit]

Just a small friendly hint; good job reverting vandalism, but if you find stuff like this, don't bother reverting it. Stuff in the Sandbox and such pages is new users experimenting; try not to revert it unless it is removing the top header and template, as removing their stuff makes them feel like they did something wrong. Thanks! _-M o P-_ 17:24, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, don't be embarrassed at all! Seriously, everyone does it; its an indication that we're doing something right at least. Just a friendly reminder, as as you said, they might start rampaging or such. Again, sorry that I'm being such a WikiEnforcer, but its no biggie and I just wanted to give you a gentle reminder. Thanks muchos! _-M o P-_ 17:39, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism warning error[edit]

Hi, this is the person you accidentally warned about someone's vandalism about twelve hours ago. I'm just saying this to tell you that it's no problem; in fact, I actually saw the apology before the warning. :) Thanks for removing vandalism. --Ravi12346 04:51, 2 May 2006 (UTC) (aka 66.136.149.102) P.S. Feel free to delete this section once you have read it.[reply]

Nah, that's okay. I'd like the archive to show me warts and all. --Chodorkovskiy (talk) 05:18, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Someone edited my note. I didn't really write the inappropriate bit in caps. - Ravi12346 19:08, 11 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

VandalProof[edit]

Just so you know the ban on my record is for translating the name of the Japanese holiday Hounen Matsuri into English.

Am I still on VandalProof?

Proof BTK was a Republican[edit]

"So it did not surprise me to find out that he was just a mainstream local person, member of his church, president of his church conjugation. Registered Republican, no criminal record. Apparently went to vote. Just appeared to be on the outside, a good citizen." [1] 132.241.246.111 05:20, 4 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

VandalProof 1.2 Now Available[edit]

After a lenghty, but much-needed Wikibreak, I'm happy to announce that version 1.2 of VandalProof is now available for download! Beyond fixing some of the most obnoxious bugs, like the persistent crash on start-up that many have experienced, version 1.2 also offers a wide variety of new features, including a stub-sorter, a global user whitelist and blacklist, navigational controls, and greater customization. You can find a full list of the new features here. While I believe this release to be a significant improvement over the last, it's nonetheless nowhere near the end of the line for VandalProof. Thanks to Rob Church, I now have an account on test.wikipedia.org with SysOp rights and have already been hard at work incorporating administrative tools into VandalProof, which I plan to make available in the near future. An example of one such SysOp tool that I'm working on incorporating is my simple history merge tool, which simplifies the process of performing history merges from one article into another. Anyway, if you haven't already, I'd encourage you to download and install version 1.2 and take it out for a test-drive. As always, your suggestions for improvement are always appreciated, and I hope that you will find this new version useful. Happy editing! --AmiDaniel (talk) 02:12, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

REGARDING ORPHANBOT[edit]

You should be ashamed commending the worst virus on Wikipedia today. Imagine if human defendants were guilty until proven innocent, then executed 7 days later, without a chance to prove their case.

Also, Wikipedia is VOLUNTEER/FREE. I'm not going to go back and undo all the damage done. This monster even deleted the image of the world's oldest woman.
