Just checking in[edit]

Hi! My name is Cindy and I am working with Ed this semester to support the Political Participation course, taught by Professor Tess Marchant-Shapiro. I can be reached either through my talk page, email, or on IRC at #wikipedia-en-classroom. Please feel free to contact either myself or Ed any time you have a question. We are both here to help and look forward to working with you! Best regards, Cind.amuse (Cindy) 07:25, 7 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Chris. I removed the tag after finding multiple results for the center on Google News. There are a couple problem with the article in your sandbox though – a few quotes are fine, but when your entire article is a collection of quotes, that's not good! The same would go for any college paper. Would you be able to rewrite most of it in your own words, possibly including information from the news articles at Google News and Google News Archive? That'll go a long way in helping you when the article is moved into the mainspace (you may even be able to get it on the main page in the Did you know section!). Please let me know if I can help more. :-) Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 05:17, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That would be good. I don't think it would be deleted, but you would get a couple comments on the quotes and the sources – third-party sources are preferred so we make sure the article is neutral (as I'm sure you've noticed, company "about us" webpages are almost always supportive puff pieces! :-) ). That's why I suggested using Google News. Try to find articles that focus on the Center itself, and you can get an outside perspective on its history and controversies. As for DYK, the instructions are here or in an easier version here. I can help with that if needed... it's rather complicated, I know. Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 06:33, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
One more thing – File:CMDlogo.jpg will be deleted soon-ish because the article isn't in the mainspace yet. When this happens, don't worry, as I can use my magical administrator powers to restore it when you are done with the article. ;-) Good luck in class today! Peer Review[edit]

It's Dennis from class. As we have already discussed your page, I will just say that it looks good so far. It feels as if there needs to be more to it, but so does mine. You're a step ahead of me though as I haven't yet communicated with any of the mentors/ambassadors. Keep up the good work. Adleyd1 (talk) 22:33, 1 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
