This guy has a real problem with the Chris Long article, he thinks he owns the thing everything I try to add or fix he undoes, I see you are having the same problem with him.--Yankees10 00:56, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I cannot stand him.►Chris NelsonHolla! 01:06, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
At first I hated this guy because he kept messing with the infoboxes, then I started to get along with him and liked what he was doing extending articles, but I am slowly starting to dislike him again. I mean hes adding Chris Longs mother to the intro, she isnt exactly important like Howie is, and I HATE how he makes tons of edits just for little things, I mean come in put them all in one--Yankees10 01:11, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well he adds a lot of irrelevant shit to articles in expanding them, as I talked about on that article's talk page.►Chris NelsonHolla! 01:38, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Now hes doing it to Matt Slaters page, hes adding his mother (who is not famous) and a bunch of quotes and shit.--Yankees10 00:22, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dude if he's doing Pats players then User:Pats1 will HAVE to get involved, and I know he'll side with us on this because he has common sense.►Chris NelsonHolla! 04:46, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Gandy and Fletcher[edit]

I'm confused why would those two re-sign but then be released not even month later? HoosierStateTalk 17:19, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Happens all the time after the draft and rookie free agents are signed.►Chris NelsonHolla! 17:27, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Seahawks templates[edit]

Chris,

I propose changing the primary color from navy blue to Seahawks blue, as I have matched the appropriate shade. Here's the code: #335487. I originally matched the color for the Seattle Seahawks user box:

SEAThis user is a fan of the
Seattle Seahawks.
The color is from the official logo.►Chris NelsonHolla! 18:46, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Page move question[edit]

I was wondering why you moved Alex Rodriguez to Álex Rodríguez. Most places I have looked (Yankees.com, ESPN, CBS Sportsline, Baseball Reference, Baseball Almanac, and Alex's own official website) do not have the accent marks listed with his name. The only site I saw with the accent marks was Yahoo Sports. Usually the most common English form is used. --Michael Greiner 16:17, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Most english websites don't post players' names with the accent marks. In any case, his name with accent marks included should be "Alex Rodríguez", without an accent mark above the 'A'. Ksy92003 (talk) 16:21, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't believe that's true. It's Ah-lex.►Chris NelsonHolla! 16:51, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, the stress is on the first syllable. However, in spanish, when the stress comes on the penultimate syllable, there is only an accent mark on the vowel if the word ends in a vowel, 'N', or 'S'. There isn't an accent mark if the word ends in any other letter, such as in this case, where the word ends in an 'X'. Ksy92003 (talk) 17:02, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about the back-and-forth editing. Just trying to keep the redirects and yankee templates updated to wherever his article would be located at... JustSomeRandomGuy32 (talk) 21:09, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Atlanta Braves Game Log[edit]

I noticed that you have reverted my edit which placed the Game Log in the main article 2008 Atlanta Braves season. The members of the Baseball WikiProject have decided here that it is more appropriate for the game log to be in the article itself, to make it easier to update. I understand your reasoning for the reversion, however we have decided that it is unnecessary to have a template just for one article. --Willy No1lakersfan (Talk - Contribs) 16:13, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It is completely retarded to have all that template code in an article.►Chris NelsonHolla! 16:33, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

re:External links[edit]

Thanks for the tips. RC-0722 247.5/1 03:42, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Um, I looked at the template and it seems it only for adding stats. RC-0722 247.5/1 03:44, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Huh? It adds links to sites such as the NFL.com and ESPN.com ones you added to Huard and Thigpen.►Chris NelsonHolla! 03:50, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oops. Sorry, my bad. I'm pretty tired right now, and missed a few things on the page. RC-0722 247.5/1 03:52, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RFArb posts moved[edit]

I moved your comments to a single section for you. Usually we do not have threaded discussion on the page. Since tensions are usually running high in these situations, it is best if you make statements for the Committee rather than address other editors. If you have questions leave a message on the talk page and a clerk can help you. FloNight♥♥♥ 19:28, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pictures in Celtics articles[edit]

Thank you for posting pictures for almost every player. I clearly see that you had tickets for Game 4 of the First Round. What I would remove, however, is the text Photo by Chris Nelson, as it is clear from the file history of each picture. ● 8~Hype @ 06:19, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I realize it's in the file history, but I've uploaded them all under a license which allows me to choose the way I want them attributed. The photos cannot be used unless attributed to me in the way I say.►Chris NelsonHolla! 06:31, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Seems fair. Thanks, anyway. ● 8~Hype @ 06:32, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Really, I should just start watermarking them.►Chris NelsonHolla! 06:36, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As I said I'd do a couple days ago, I contacted the Arizona Rattlers' team president, asking to be directed to the person who wrote the player biographies for the website. He gave me the address of the Director of Public Relations for the team, whom I asked him about this little discussion we had Friday in regards to Mkristo Bruce's player bio. Here is the e-mail that he returned to me:

"We use a variety of different sources when compiling our biographies and the writer does not remember which ones he used in that particular case, being that it was written almost two months ago."

So I guess that puts an end to this. Due to the "completeness" (not necessarily "accuracy") of our Wikipedia articles, Wikipedia was in all likelihood a source for some of that information. And I wouldn't bet against you in this case, that the sentence in question came from your writing. So I'd like to apologize to you for questioning who the author of that sentence truly is. I'm sorry. Ksy92003 (talk) 20:11, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Haha it's fine. I'm surprised you were so skeptical, I thought it was pretty obvious. I'm also surprised you went through the lengths you did.►Chris NelsonHolla! 20:12, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Part of it was my own personal curiosity. I was skeptical about it mostly because that was the only sentence I saw that was similar (until I noticed the similarity of the awards section, as well) and didn't think it was likely that they would use only one sentence, especially one as basic as that. Of course, when I noticed the awards section as well, that made me second-guess myself. Ksy92003 (talk) 20:17, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well I think the wording along with the identical links was a dead giveaway. I've pretty much never seen links to Wikipedia, they'd never do that on their own.►Chris NelsonHolla! 20:18, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I actually didn't even notice that there were any links, originally. And later, after I noticed that there were, I didn't notice that they went to Wikipedia. Seeing as those three links are the only in the bio, I'm fairly confident myself now. Ksy92003 (talk) 20:21, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah no team would randomly link that stuff, and to Wikipedia either. It was all jut way too big of a coincidence.►Chris NelsonHolla! 20:23, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

infobox[edit]

Look, I see you have a personal interest in proliferating NFLactive and it's fine if the WikiProject NFL wants to use that template for players who only play in NFL but it's inappropriate for those playing in other leagues. Gridiron football person is designed for general all-around use and players of multiple leagues. NFLactive has no place for CFL stats, it forces a header for NFL debut, it's just plain designed with a currently playing NFL player in mind. Frankly, he's no longer NFL-active so I don't see why it's on his article anyway but I'll leave Bethel for now, since it's unknown if he'll ever play in the CFL, but if he does, it needs to be updated to a multi-league player infobox: IFgp. DoubleBlue (Talk) 22:00, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The template is not complete and we can add anything you want. I already added the CFL status to list him as an import, which I agree is something that needs to be there. But quite frankly, I see nothing in the infobox you added to his page that my infobox doesn't include now.►Chris NelsonHolla! 01:33, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kory Robertson[edit]

Since you're the only user to have done anything significant with Kory Robertson and you're requesting it for deletion, I have placed a {{db-author}} tag for it do be deleted per G7 (only author requests deletion). You can use this in any case where you're the only person to have made substantial edits. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters(Broken clamshellsOtter chirps) 01:07, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
