Star Wars: Storm in the Glass[edit]

Instead of Star Wars: Storm in the Glass, I think the English title of the film is "Star Wars: Tempest in a Teapot." I would like to move the article to the title Star Wars: Tempest in a Teapot. Please let me know if you object. -- Jreferee 17:22, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I wouldn't mind, but the official website lists the English name as "Storm in the Glass". I think we should stick to Goblin's name. Chronolegion 17:25, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I understand that there are rules on Wikipedia and that the idiom "tempest in a teapot" might be more familiar to the English-speaking crowd than "storm in the glass", but I searched on Google and found that only the latter is used for the Goblin translation (not just on his website). One of the reasons for changing a name is to allow easier web search. I believe in this case it would be best to leave the name as it is, but add a trivia note to describe the idiom in English terms. DYK[edit]

Updated DYK query On 30 December, 2006, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Star Wars: Storm in the Glass, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

hey good work. Could you help out with Wikipedia:WikiProject Films/List of films without article. I am currently drawing up an entire list of missing films Ernst Stavro Blofeld 18:35, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to help, but I do not know that many movies, to be honest. Pretty much, that would depend on the movie and how well I remember it. Thanks for the offer. Chronolegion 12:53, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

About Haegemonia[edit]

Hi there

it feels weird spelling it like that but well i didnt know it was spelled like that in europe. old games like these lack information nowadays =( anyways is there any way we can add the US title somewhere in there so as people wont get confused??

Thanks Maverick423 16:01, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I don't see why not. If you want, you can add a note about this. If you do, you might want to mention that the names are different because of the spelling of the root word ("h(a)egemony"). Chronolegion 17:01, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good ill get right to it then Maverick423 17:06, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the help![edit]

thanks for your help on the Haegemonia article

and I liked your trivia that you added! I acctually didnt think much about it untill u mentioned it =) thanks again!Maverick423 16:10, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. I thought about creating a new section for the inconsistencies, but many of those inconsistencies (e.g. sound in space, planet scale, static systems) are present in most other sci-fi games. Chronolegion 16:39, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes that is true from the game a small one man fighter compared to earth's size looked like it would be the size of the empire state building. and i dont want to get into the colonization ships heh although i would expect thouse to be big. in anyways i await to see more from you =D take care Maverick423 16:42, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Planet Zoroaster[edit]

I noticed your addition of Zoroaster (The History of the Galaxy) in Planets in science fiction. Its placement there is fine for now; but I notice that there are several other planets listed in Template: The History of the Galaxy, and if you are planning on creating articles for those, you ought also to create a list page \which can be linked to directly from Planets in science fiction — something like "Planets in The History of the Galaxy". If there is not much information on some of these planets, then it would also be a good idea to put references to the less-described planets into this list instead of creating new articles for every single planet. See Planets in science fiction#Planet lists for comparable lists. RandomCritic 15:41, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. This is probably what I will do, as, until I reread all the books, which might take awhile, I only possess limited info on each planet mentioned in the template. Certain planets might be worth mentioning in a separate article, though, like Elio (capital of the Confederacy and hub of Interstar) and Fort Stellar (HQ of Free Colonies' military during the Galactic Wars). In case you ever see this message, is the novel actually good? --Kizor 10:19, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I appreciate the comment. The novel is decent, but I wouldn't say that it was great. Character developmen is ok, but most of them end up dying anyway. The author sticks to the game a bit too much, if you ask me, while going off on a tangent a few times (like when adding a new race and not following up on that subplot). Some events are highly detailed, though. For example, the book describes the horror of watching one's friend being attacked an turned by a Chrysalid, as well as having to shoot him afterwards. Don't think it'll ever be officially translated into English - copyright issues and all that. Chronolegion (talk) 16:49, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated X-COM: UFO Defense (Russian novel), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/X-COM: UFO Defense (Russian novel). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
