Deletion review of Valeri Lilov[edit]

Hi an editor has bought this article to deletion review, since it's part based on you having responded to a request for feedback and saying it was ready for mainspace, you might have some useful input. The article has been deleted via CSD:G4 as substantially the same as an article deleted through AFD. --82.7.40.7 (talk) 17:48, 3 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • The article was a November 30, 2010, G4 speedy delete of Valeri "Tiger" Lilov. While I reviewed a draft in September, I don't recall ever seeing this particular article and have no record as a contributor. An appropriate action would be for the author to contact the editor that deleted the article according to the G4 criteria. DRV is premature. That said, I have commented at the DRV. I don't mean obscure at all. Just many regional newspapers do not have online archives and there are many books that are not online. Just because some piece of proof doesn't have a URL doesn't mean it's not a valid source.;-)

Something's not right?[edit]

  • Oh, that's confirmation. I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out the sock behind this account. Every article that this editor has created has been deliberately introducing false information to the point of vandalism. Definitely more scrutiny. Who is the banned user? I think the only way to know for sure is being able to view the deleted articles; not being an admin I can't see the deleted histories. RE: GHK Copper page authentication by an expert[edit]

Hi,

I came across the GHK copper page and saw it needs authentication by an expert. While I don't normally call myself that, my research background is in biochemistry, specifically collagen and elastin. I can vouch that the GHK page is scientifically accurate; I studied it in previous work on fibroblast growth. Please let me know if you need something else.   • Thanks for contacting me. There always seems to be some confusion for new editors. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, rather than a webhost or promotional tool. Subjects must be notable prior to submission to Wikipedia, rather than the other way around. And articles must be supported with significant, reliable, and independent sources. It would be in your best interest to move the article to a subpage of your userspace and create it there. Then, when the subject is supported with significant coverage by reliable sources that are independent of the subject, you may consider transferring the article to the mainspace. Many new editors make the mistake of creating their article directly and using the main article space as their workspace. This basically sets the article up for quick deletion. Currently the only reference that is considered reliable or independent of the subject is the one for starchefs.com. This does not equate to significant and therefore, the article may be quickly deleted. Again, your best course of action is to save your work and move it to a subpage.     • Did some nosing around on the net. The website is mentioned in an indepently written book "Cooking for geeks"link. On the otherhand, there are numerous articles about the website in important Dutch and Belgian magazines. The problem is that they are written in dutch. An article like this would certainly be enough to remove the fast deletion, yet the google translation is a bit crappy. If the website was not notable, it would not have been presented on three major gastronomic congresses (Lo major de la gastronomia, Star chefs, The flemish primitives). This is really a remarkable feat, and is considered very notable in the gastronomic world, sadly that is not good enough for wiki. I deleted the speedy tag on Malcolm Warner. He is absolutely not a speedy delete candidate. I have no idea why you would think there is no credible claim of notability. There is plenty of claim here. There is nothing in the article to indicate importance or significance. And the two sources presented for this article are not significant.
