File source problem with File:Mount logo.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Mount logo.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:45, 29 January 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – The Parting Glass 17:45, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:Mount logo.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. – The Parting Glass 17:45, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:College of Mount St Joseph box logo.jpg)[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading Image:College of Mount St Joseph box logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 05:47, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Verifying copyright permission[edit]

Hello, Cliffwjenkins. You have new messages at Moonriddengirl's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
Just as a note, if you do not return to Wikipedia soon (within five days or so), you may need to look in my archives for your response. You would probably find it at User talk:Moonriddengirl/Archive 22 or User talk:Moonriddengirl/Archive 23. If you have further conversation in that case, please drop it at my current talk page, or I'm afraid I won't see it. Thanks. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 22:01, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. The letter would work very well, but I can't find any sign that you've mailed it to the Wikimedia Foundation. I searched both for your name and for Mount St. Joseph. It needs to be sent to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. Once it is received there, an agent will respond with any issues that might exist. Again, if you let me know when you've sent the letter, I'll be happy to intercept it so that you don't have to wait. And if you've already sent it, please let me know and I'll search again. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:30, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Absolutely. I'll go look for it now. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 11:24, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
All right. I've found the letter and processed the permission, though I did not restore one of the images as it was redundant to another. I have returned the text to the article, but I have also tagged it for attention from other editors. I'm afraid that content like "For more than 20 years, the Honors Program has been enabling students to refine their intellectual skills, learn and think more critically yet creatively, and capitalize on their talents and abilities" and "After a multi-million dollar renovation in 2007, the Dorothy Meyer Ziv Art Building re-opened revealing a creative, updated learning atmosphere that includes three levels of classroom space and studios, Studio San Giuseppe Art Gallery, and a photography lab" is not in keeping with our core policy of neutrality and verifiability. Assessments of the school's creativity and performance must be provided by other sources than the school itself. Hopefully, the tag will draw attention soon to neutralize it so that the tag can be removed.
I have not altered the source description of images such as File:Ziv Art Building.jpg, which you uploaded under claim of your own copyright, even though the letter implied ownership of all images you've uploaded. If these images are also owned by the College, please let me know so that I can complete this process.
And please refer to me only by my pen name on Wikipedia itself. Wikipedia's administrators are sometimes subjected to harassment, and particularly for the sake of my family I attempt to maintain some privacy. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:10, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I will alter the ownership information accordingly. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:05, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
