Cartridge articles[edit]

I have noticed the great deal of content you've added to the cartrige articles. Nice job. However, I do find myself wondering where you're getting your info. You should provide some sources on some of the larger points. Thanks. Thernlund (Talk | Contribs) 22:13, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: your Harrods edit[edit]

Read the sentence again. Where's the verb in the clause you've introduced? As it stands, what you've written reads as an odd sentence fragment appended to the end of an otherwise-intelligible sentence, a nominal phrase in search of a predicate. (I also call your attention to the fact that the "world's largest selling space" is likely to be the Mall of the Americas in Minnesota or a certain horse auction facility in Fort Worth, Texas, depending on how you define the term "selling space". Note also that other, less ambiguous, less disputable facts about Harrods' size are included further down in the article.) With all respect to your good intentions, I ask that you revert this change. 1. Please try not to break links. Your changing 6.5 x 55 Mauser to 6.5 x 55 Swedish Mauser broke an otherwise functional link. Next time try something like this: 6.5 x 55 Swedish Mauser.

2. Also, I think we've enough dead links. If you're going to add calibers, please start articles like you did with 9 x 57 Mauser. --Crimson30 16:29, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries[edit]

Please provide edit summaries for your edits. Thanks Thernlund (Talk | Contribs) 21:09, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please see comments on that discussion page. HangFire 02:55, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

.244 H&H Magnum[edit]

Can you help out with references for this article? There's more about it on the talk page, but basically it has lots of claims not backed up by the provided references. If you have online sources, great, but if not at least having basic book titles, publisher, etc would be very helpful. Arthurrh 23:21, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of John Wilkes & Co[edit]

An editor has nominated John Wilkes & Co, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/John Wilkes & Co and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 22:00, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The article Canyon rifle has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

uncited since 2007

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
