Superscripts and subscripts

Just a note, I reverted this edit which includes vulgar language in superscript characters rather than regular letters. I'm guessing this is a low-frequency but effectual workaround that avoids detection because most vandalism uses regular letters. I don't know if it's worth somehow enhancing this type of sequence in training data, or pre-normalizing to ASCII or something, though for what it's worth this is not the first time I've seen vandalism like this. (I scan Wikipedia for superscript characters that don't comply with the Manual of Style). Whether or not it catches everything, thanks for your work on this very useful bot! -- Beland (talk) 06:17, 10 November 2021 (UTC)

Multiple talk pages of ClueBot

Should User talk:ClueBot III/ArchiveThis be maintained as a location of discussions (with or without Template:Talk page of redirect), or should it redirect to a central ClueBot talk page (this page)? — CJDOS, Sheridan, OR (talk) 07:28, 16 November 2021 (UTC)

Can I switch format?

I made the mistake of using format=Y/F on my talk page. I want to now switch to format= %%i. Can I? Will it break something? What will the result look like? Thanks! VR talk 14:51, 18 November 2021 (UTC)

Yes, Vice regent. You can switch archive formatting; the next time the bot archives, it will use the new format. If you want your previous archives to match the new format, you'll have to move the pages yourself, or ask someone if you cannot. I would recommend leaving the bot generated index as is.
Don't forget to update your archive prefix parameter to |archiveprefix=User talk:Vice regent/Archive. I might suggest adding the line: |header={{Automatic archive navigator}}, and replacing the archive header template in each archive. AAN will make navigating between your archived pages easier, but it's entirely optional (archive uses Template:Archive header by default). Ping me on your talk page if you require assistance. — CJDOS, Sheridan, OR (talk) 20:58, 18 November 2021 (UTC) (edited 21:09, 18 November 2021 (UTC))

Switch to allow and block list naming in documentation

Please can you use the terms allow and block listing in your documentation. Thanks 109.36.153.88 (talk) 10:21, 19 November 2021 (UTC)

Blacklist and whitelist are more commonly used and understood. "Blocklist" would be problematic, as "block" in Wikipedia refers to one of these. Tol (talk | contribs) @ 15:45, 19 November 2021 (UTC)

Josh janakiraman If you come across a user making disruptive edits, please file a report to WP:AIV once you've warned them appropriately. ClueBot NG isn't human and it isn't a sysop so it can't block anyone-- 5 albert square (talk) 00:59, 30 November 2021 (UTC)
