The CW

Please be very careful to always use "The CW" and not just "CW". Regardless of any spelling mistake or whatever, the name of the network is The CW Television Network. There have even been blocks over this very thing, something I wasn't involved in, but I thought you should be made aware. WCUU-CA, The U Too and Me Too

The WCUU-CA page said that The U Too will be shown on the WCIU-TV subchannels 26.5 and 26.6, and also on analog channel 48. It is also expected that The U Too will displace Me Too from analog channel 48. If that's the case, then, where do you suppose Me Too will end up? What new channel in Chicago will it be shown on? MyNetworkTV

Please respond on WT:TVS; as someone who edits List of MyNetworkTV affiliates‎, I would like your input. Although I know you edit the article whenever there's a change, we have a user who is removing claims that MyNetworkTV is a network by claiming the article is out-of-date and removing data and placing tags as such claiming the information is incorrect, and has also removed data about it from List of United States over-the-air television networks. Proposed deletion of Inergize Digital Media

The article Inergize Digital Media has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unambiguous advertisement for a non notable business, apparently yet another online advertising business. Article text is floridly non-neutral, and a list of radio and TV stations is appended for no reason made obvious in the text. (Customer list?)

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. KTVO

Hi CoconutHead. Regarding your recent addition to KTVO's history, atta boy (or girl as the case may be lol). I assume it was a typo that you listed WTVO, not KTVO, so made the minor change. I was familiar with some of the players in the Post Corp. / Gillette / Gillbro transition, mainly the late Alvina Britz (who is rumored to have made out like a bandit in stock dividens/payout from Post following the sale). I was an intern at KTVO in the mid 1980s and then worked for Alvina for many years after she purchased a radio station group/formed one with David Nelson, King of Wisconsin cheese (lol). Any other history background info you'd wish to add to the KTVO Wiki is appreciated. BTW, do you have any history on KYOU-TV Ottumwa, Iowa? I've been e-mailing them repeatedly about current ownership, whether an LMA is still in effect w/ KTVO, etc. and been blown off so far. Have a great Wiki kinda day! KYOU is licensed to American Spirit Media, LLC, a company who would later absorb most of the portfolio of Southeastern Media Holdings in May 2011. While most of the American Spirit Media stations will continue to be managed by Raycom Media (KTVO's previous owner), American Spirit Media is in the process of selling one of the stations from the Southeastern Media Holdings portfolio (WFXG in Augusta, Georgia) outright to Raycom. WDTN

In your edit to WDTN, you state that the station has no known intention of converting to HD newscasts. That seems a bit strong. There might be such an intention, just not known to the public or stated online. Although not definitive, I have found references to features reporter Jim Bucher supposedly stating otherwise as of around August, 2011. You also state that WKEF/WRGT-TV will convert sometime in 2012. While I have found references to a slow rollout of new news sets and HD news to all Sinclair stations, I can find nothing definitive about these two stations. If this were the case, then the creation and editing of articles should be restricted to paid professional writers only. And that would completely negate the very idea of a wiki. By the way, thanks for deleting that line because I got that claim from a forum and could not find a knowledgable source for that update. And a forum by itself is not a good enough source. You don't have to be a professional writer to add reliable sources to articles. They're available at dozens of locations on the Internet (newspapers, magazines, TV news sites, etc.) Unfortunately forums are considered unreliable and self published. TomCat4680 (talk) 01:30, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

I agree with your intentions. The English Wikipedia does need a few more bureaucrats to moderate what goes in. There are a lot of articles in this and many other Wikipedias that have had the quality degraded with uncited content. The fate of the 5000s

Hi there,

I saw on my watchlist that today you added some information to articles on the various lines of the Chicago 'L' regarding the 5000 series. Wikipedia's policy is that all information here should come from reliable sources, and I noticed that User:Lost on belmont had added a "citation needed" tag to one such of these sentences, so I tried to find a published reference as to the next line to get 5000s after the Pink. The closest I could find to this was Grid, which references ChicagoBus.org for this. Both fine sites, undoubtedly, and the ChicagoBus folks were right about the Pink being first in line, but I don't think that this quite meets Wikipedia's core content policies of requiring reliable sources and forbidding original research and speculation. Personally, I'd put a great deal of money on seeing the 5000s on the Green next as you stated (much to my chagrin, being a Red Line rider sick of the 2600s), but in the absence of a reliable source I removed the offending sentences. If you can find such a citation—the Trib, say, or a CTA press release—I think that would be more than sufficient. If there isn't one, however, I think that it would be best to avoid such speculation for the time being.
