This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Brainmine, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.neuralmatters.com. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Speedy deletion of Brainmine[edit]

A tag has been placed on Brainmine, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you.    SIS  11:12, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I was trying to rename the page. I am the creator of the BrainMine software and am simply trying to add my information to Wiki, like the 10s of other creators who have put their software. The reason you may have autodetected this as vandalism is because I was trying to rename the title. The correct spelling of my software is "BrainMine" not "Brainmine" which for some reason was the default. Please unlock my account, it is only fair that I can add my content like everyone else. Or is everyone else wrong to add lists of their software too? I think people want to know this information, it is certainly useful to have a product "homepage" in Wiki where everyone can add their bit. As a creator of a KM tool I hate vandalism and I hope you can respect that I am trying to promote and build the collection and sharing of free information.

Decline reason:

In that case, you should read our policies against Conflict of Interest and advertising at Wikipedia. Simply put, you may not edit articles about companies you work for or products you are connected to, and you may not use Wikipedia as a vehicle for promoting said products or services. If you wish to edit Wikipedia, you may only do so if you agree to avoid editing articles where you would have such a conflict of interest. If all you want to do is create an product homepage at Wikipedia, you should be aware that is something that runs antithetical to Wikipedia's purpose, and you will not be allowed to do so. — Jayron32.talk.contribs 12:39, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Please take care to abide by our policies in the future. If you have any trouble or questions, please feel free to ask me at my talk page.
