January 2013[edit]

Your recent editing history at Product activation shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. I have only reverted twice, once to remove a section that was reintroduced with numerous tags on it with explanation and a second time to add the tags back in that I had added earlier. I am not edit warring. Coin Operation (talk) 22:30, 7 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like Dogmaticeclectic has a problem with edit warring, 3 warnings so far this month for edit warring. Coin Operation (talk) 22:33, 7 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It takes two to edit war, and one can still edit war without breaching 3rr. I'm not taking sides and you'll see that he's been warned as well and counting reverts gets complicated. I filed a neutral report at WP:AN3 requesting for page protection, not blocks. Sailsbystars (talk) 22:38, 7 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Counting reverts in my case is not complicated, 3 edits to the article today, one removing content that was just added, revert. One adding tags that had never been there, not a revert. One reading the tags that I had added earlier when they were removed without cause, revert. No other edits to the article ever. Coin Operation (talk) 22:43, 7 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
