A belated welcome![edit]

The welcome may be belated, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Comiobova! I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may still benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

If you don't already know, you should sign your posts on talk pages by using four tildes (~~~~) to insert your username and the date.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Again, welcome! - CorbieVreccan 20:06, 2 February 2022 (UTC) P.S. - I reverted your addition to Taxus Baccata as we don't put bare urls in as sources, and doing so is not disambiguation. Please read up on how we cite reliable sources for how to do that, and please use an accurate edit summary when editing. Thanks for your contributions! - CorbieVreccan 20:10, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Citations in ledes[edit]

Hi Comiobova. Just in case you don't already know, citations are not necessarily required in article ledes. Here's a link to WP's Manual of Style page explaining that. It specifically says (about the need for lede citations) "The verifiability policy advises that material that is challenged or likely to be challenged, and direct quotations, should be supported by an inline citation." I've removed your general flag from the vermilion flycatcher article because of this. Please tag those sentences you feel are controversial or likely to be challenged with a {{cn}} tag, and we can move a copy of the reference from the main article up into the lede. Let me know if you have any questions about this! MeegsC (talk) 09:12, 10 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
