A tag has been placed on Category:Musicians from Mpumalanga indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 16:31, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Canright Rejection[edit]

I personally thought the Rejection was a bit harsh, but 100% agree that Canright is not yet Wikipedia-notable. The fact that you submitted it without references was the reason. See WP:TOOSOON and WP:NMUSIC and WP:42 for an understanding of what is needed. If you abandon the draft, at six months from now it will be deleted. If you prefer it be deleted much faster, then at the top, inside double curly brackets {{ }} put Db-author as a creator's request for speedy deletion. I hope you find other ways to contribute to Wikipedia. Most new editors work on improving existing articles as a means of gaining experience. David notMD (talk) 21:25, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

On a separate note, given that you posted the photograph as your own work, that is an indication that you have a personal relationship to Canright, or even possibly a paid connection (manager, agent, etc.). Connections of that type must be declared on your User page. David notMD (talk) 21:28, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Rejected means Rejected. That is the decision reached by an experienced reviewer. Please stop editing the draft and do not submit it for review again. What is missing is essential: publications about him that can serve as references, and writing in a neutral point of view (see WP:NPOV). Text such as " It's all thanks to every single person who supports his music including his friends and fans for making this happen. This is far his biggest project or currently his biggest achievement." is not NPOV. Listing his discography does not contribute to establishing him as Wikipedia-notable. Connor World, if you are interested in contributing to Wikipedia in other ways and want to use it to practice editing, that's fine but if your only interest is Canright then it is probably best to move on as Wikipedia is not a web hosting service. David is correct, you should not try to resubmit it. Also, YouTube, Google, social media, etc. are not reliable sources (see WP:RSPYT and WP:YOUTUBE about using YouTube along with User-generated content). I will leave you some additional information about editing Wikipedia. S0091 (talk) 18:10, 1 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Happy editing! Cheers, S0091 (talk) 18:10, 1 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
