Mark Howard and Tommy Lee[edit]

Hi

Normally when two people have the same name, we distinguish between them by putting something in brackets afterwards, like this: Danny Wallace (footballer). I noticed you'd created articles for Mark Howard and Tommy Lee, but both players already have articles at Mark Howard (defender) and Tommy Lee (footballer). Could you merge your articles into the ones that were already there so we don't have two articles on each player?

The article "Steve Davis (Umpire)" has been deleted as it is a content fork (duplicate) of Steve Davis (umpire). However, in case you'd like to use any of the text from that article, I've pasted it below.

Stephen James Davis, (born 9 April 1952 in London), is an Australian Test cricket match umpire, from London.

He umpired nine Test matches between 1993 and 2000. His first match was between Australia and New Zealand at Brisbane on 3 December to 7 December 1993, won by Australia by an innings and 96 runs, with Allan Border and Steve Waugh scoring centuries, and Shane Warne and Craig McDermott taking 8 and 6 wickets respectively. Parker’s partner was Steve Randell.

Parker’s last Test match was between Australia and the West Indies at Perth on 1 December to 3 December 2000, won by Australia by an innings and 27 runs with Mark Waugh scoring a century, and wickets being shared by Glenn McGrath (who took a hat-trick, Brett Lee, Jason Gillespie and Stuart MacGill. Parker’s partner was the English umpire John Hampshire.

Parker umpired 46 one-day international (ODI) matches between 1993 and 2005. Altogether, he has umpired 98 first-class matches in his career between 1986 and December 2005. He is still (January 2006) an active first-class umpire, and is still on the International Cricket Council's International Panel of Umpires and Referees.

Problem with your custom signature[edit]

You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.

The problem: Your preferences are set to interpret your custom signature as wikitext. However, your current custom signature does not contain any wikitext.

The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.

Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:

Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
Remove anything in the Signature: text box. (It might already be empty.)
Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)

Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:

Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
