Re your message: I'm glad that you like my edit notice. I only made a single vandalism reversion edit to Richard Neustadt's article many, many years ago. I don't know anything about him and my interest in politics is fairly low, so I wouldn't be of much help to you writing the section that you would like to add. What I suggest is to just be bold and make the changes. Velvet Knights

Can you give me a justification for your placement of edit templates on Velvet Knights Drum and Bugle Corps (2005)? This is a minor article about a group that has been in existence only a short time. There has not yet been much to write about, yet the article tells who they are, what they do, where they are from, et cetera. It is referenced with several citations from sources completely independent from the group. I'm sorry, but I fail to see the relevance of either of your edits. GWFrog (talk) 02:13, 26 May 2012 (UTC)

I placed those tags on there because I felt they were needed. Reference 1 links to the organization mentioned, it is suitable as an external link but it is not a reference. Reference 2 and 4 do not appear to be independent of the velvet knights, considering they raise money for the group. Reference 3 and 5 is a site displaying score history, which is independent but susceptible to link rot. And Reference 6 appears to be a poster. I do not think any of these qualify as reliable sources. I figured the group was new, that is why I only placed tags on it. The fact that the article needs help, does not mean the article is not notable or should not be included in the encyclopedia.CouchSurfer222 (talk) 00:50, 31 May 2012 (UTC)

Reference 1 links to Drum Corps International, a sanctioning organization, and verifies the statement made. Granted, Refs. 2 & 4 link to the organization itself; #2 verifying the group's short history, which is not yet recounted elsewhere; and #4 merely verifying the organization's sponsorship. References #3 & #5 are both Corpsreps.com, an archive of drum corps histories, repertories, and contest scores that has been on-line since 1996. Reference #6 is most definitely NOT a poster, in any sense of the word; Drum Corps World has been the principal newspaper of the drum and bugle corps activity since 1972; it has been published on-line for the past year. Thanks for your message. Couple of things; under WP:V, no matter what truth, verify the truth with a publicly reliable source (that means published sources, not unpublished sources; see WP:COI). For Personal Life, possible that it is the truth, but needs sources to verify it. If no sources for one statement are found, it would be best to remove the statement. The short lede is a minor issue, so let's not worry it, but don't remove the tag yet. --George Ho (talk) 01:03, 14 June 2012 (UTC)

As for the film and television roles he did, primary sources are already implied, so no worries, and there may be no need to insert inline citations for that. Nevertheless, do not use IMDB as a "reliable source"; it's the oppose of reliable. --George Ho (talk) 01:05, 14 June 2012 (UTC)

Ok, i put up a references tag. I don't know much about composers and classic music, I just usually surf backlog areas and try and improve where I can. If you can't find a more precise category, please leave the article as {{uncategorised}} until someone else comes along and is willing to put a bit more work into it. Thanks.
