Thanks for uploading File:FRQ WCC Circadian Oscillator System.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. Lasioglossum zephyrum[edit]

Hi Courtney. Nice work expanding the Lasioglossum zephyrum article. I had a couple comments though. I noticed that you created some section headers that you hadn't added content to yet. That's fine when you're working in a sandbox, but when you're editing an article that's already published, it's best to avoid creating empty sections. And, just to nitpick a little, the standard format for section headers is to only capitalize the first word of the header, unless the other words are proper nouns. Thanks, Ian. I moved it to the sandbox and fixed the capitalization. Also, I was unable to find a photo of this bee on wikimedia. Is there anywhere else I can go to get one?

Google images lets you search by "usage rights". If you search you should see a dropdown menu that says "Usage rights". If you select "reuse with modification" you end up with three images. One is of a horse, so you can ignore that, but the other two are of bees (which is a good sign).

These two images are hosted on Flickr, so you can click through to Flickr and take a look. You'll notice that there's a little note in the bottom right corner that says "some rights reserved". If you click through, you can see the specific licensing, and it looks compatible with Wikipedia. To upload it, check out Commons:Flickr_files, especially the tools and guidelines for uploading images. (You will have to go through the steps to authorize Magnus's upload tool, but it's worth it since it simplifies things so much.)

One more bit of advice - don't take the word of random people on the internet when it comes to species IDs. I would recommend that you check that the image looks right, maybe ask Dr Strassmann or your TA to verify the ID if you aren't sure. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:18, 22 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The fact was ... that the bee Lasioglossum zephyrum has been observed forcing open unbloomed flowers of Tennessee yellow-eyed grass to extract the pollen?
