I now understand what I have done wrong. I do not dispute that I should be banned from editing. However, I believe that being banned indefinitely is rather excessive. I am requesting to have my ban shortened.

Request reason:

Dear respected Admin, I fully understand your decision to block me. However, I feel that the time limit is excessive. My account was being used by someone else at the time of all of the various edits and arbitrary fact changes earlier on today. I fully understand how that is no excuse and I should still be punished; however, I do not believe that I should be permanently banned for this. Since these events transpired, I have changed both my email address and my password. I am deeply sorry about the absurd edits that have been made under my account. I am not denying the fact that the actions on my account were grounds for banishment. I am rather merely asking for a shorter ban seeing as the infringements from this account were not actually from me but rather, another individual who was using my account. Yours truly, Crater721

(First, point of order: you are blocked, not banned. Secondly, you have admitted that your account was compromised - how do we know that you're the original account owner who has changed their password, and not the one who compromised it, having hijacked the account?
