Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 01:45, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your note[edit]

Hi. I'm sorry for my delay in responding to your note of the 19th. I've been fairly preoccupied lately and overlooked it! I'm placing a "welcome mat" at the top of your page here which may help you navigate a bit. :) It's got some useful links, and I referred to it regularly when I first arrived.

It would be great if you can improve the Stanley Kubrick article. You are welcome to be bold. As long as your edits are verifiable and neutral, they're likely to be well received, though in this environment you never know. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:05, 23 October 2009 (UTC) --Robby the Robot (talk) 14:07, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the "welcome mat" and for the encouragement about the Kubrick article. The folks who have been contributing to it have done fine work. I've been mulling over how to help bring the article to the next level. I see the invisible hand of Christinae, Kubrick's wife when he died, perhaps not directly, but indirectly in certain places. Would hate to lose that. I'm pretty sure you have some ideas about copyrighted, non-copyrighted stuff. I think the comments in 2007, when it was denied FA status were right on. The article has improved in many of the suggested areas since then, but has a ways to go. It posses an interesting question...how to shift the article from a massive collection of interesting incidences and facts into a biographical form. I don't know the answer, just yet. Through the Wikipedia process, it may take a few months to fix up. -- crm411 10:38, 24 October 2009 (UTC)
