Tevin Johnson

Hi, Would the book for this course be an absolute necessity? Or it it possible to find the information i need online (assuming there are no exercises that need to be done with the book)? Also, I am not yet enrolled in your class on blackboard. Tevin Johnson (talk) 08:16, 10 January 2016 (UTC)

You were the first! Crtew (talk) 17:03, 12 January 2016 (UTC)

Helping your class?

I just encountered one of your students by accident; I just wanted to offer to do anything I can to be helpful. I was one of the three Bloomington people at Wikipedia:Meetup/Evansville/Wiknic/2012, although I'm no longer in Indiana. Nyttend (talk) 14:03, 14 January 2016 (UTC)

Hi, I remember you from our meetup! Thank you for getting in touch. Do you want to just help my students or would you like to help students in general in courses like mine? The people at wikiedu.org can get you started in that. Let me know! Thank you, Crtew (talk) 14:48, 14 January 2016 (UTC)

I have enough going on that I don't want to jump in with just anything, but I'll be happy to help your students. Nyttend (talk) 03:22, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
Thank you, I appreciate that. Crtew (talk) 15:00, 16 January 2016 (UTC)

Al Masirah TV

Thank you Mr. Crtew for reading the article I wrote about Al Masirah, if possible can you please suggest any extra content to add in the article or any editing required in the current? I will be happy to write it. Thanks! YemArabSf (talk) 18:38, 27 February 2016 (UTC)

About your last replay in my talk page about Al Masirah TV, I can add notable works of Al Masirah TV, such as the war media employees that goes and films entire battle or entire Saudi camp control including videos of clashes of Saudi troops and tanks and blowing them up,do you mean something like that?, and about the part of closing al Masirah TV, it was not mentioned in the other side of conflict media, so I can remove it if you suggest, it's only mentioned in pro-hothi pro-Saleh Yemeni, Iranian & Lebanese(hezboallah) channels, and the part of 2014 attack on Al Masirah, I know about it and can type about it, but also it's one side story too, only pro-hothi pro-saleh , Iranian and Lebanese(Hezboallah) channels, if you find any thing that should be edited go ahead I will be happy if you do, because after I finish this channel I will add all other pro-hothi pro-saleh channels that lost journalist during war or got journalist that was injured by an air strike.YemArabSf (talk) 12:25, 28 February 2016 (UTC)

YemArabSf, I'm so glad to hear that you've taken on a project like this. Your start on Al Masirah is a good one. What I meant by significant works of journalism were any reports that received widespread coverage from more than one source. In the Jane's Weekly article, Al Masirah photojournalists are mentioned as they put themselves in danger to get images of Saudi rocket launchers. Also if the station has won any awards or received recognition for doing something. Are there any personalities of note besides the ones who were killed? Are there any shows that have well-known hosts? You might want to look at articles of some international news sites, such as the Wikipedia article on Al Jazeera to see if you can get more ideas. Keep up the good work! Crtew (talk) 20:16, 28 February 2016 (UTC)

Just in case you don't get the email

Hey Dr2,

I'm having a dilemma about Tomohiro Kojiri's Career because I couldn't find any work that he did on the internet. In other words, all I have down for the Career section is that he is a journalist, and to me, that is not enough to even have down. I wanted to tell you that I'm sorry for having so little down and I am looking for other sources besides the internet now. I understand that I will probably get a low grade for it, but at least it's on time. If It's possible, could you suggest some other sources besides the internet? Thank you.Jdjohnson2 (talk) 04:03, 22 March 2016 (UTC)

Your draft article, User:Crtew/Tamer al-Awam

Hello, Crtew. It has been over six months since you last edited your Articles for Creation draft article submission, "Tamer al-Awam".

Premature Submissions

It appears that some of your students are submitting their assigned articles before they have filled in the placeholders. Please tell them not to submit drafts for AFC review that still have placeholders.

Also, please check to be sure that none of the subjects already have articles. The AFC process is Articles for Creation, and it is only used for the review of new articles, not for improvements to existing articles. Robert McClenon (talk) 01:23, 4 May 2016 (UTC)

I have already told them not to submit at all through AFC. If they are, they're not following instructions.Crtew (talk) 01:36, 4 May 2016 (UTC)

First, see User:Crtew/Lea Schiavi. Second, do you mean that they are supposed to submit them to you for review? If so, that is good. Is that what you mean? Robert McClenon (talk) 03:12, 4 May 2016 (UTC)
Yes, I do the reviews. Those that submit are not following instructions. They see the "submit" button and think that's what they should do.Crtew (talk) 04:33, 4 May 2016 (UTC)
