"Rupert" in HBP[edit]

Hi. I support your edit on Rupert Grint's article inasmuch as it's not a direct reference in any way, but i was wondering if you had a source where JKR talks about it, because i find those minor allusions to the HP phenomenom in HBP are fanscinating.Amo 09:09, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'll have to do some searching for it, it's been a while. I'll post it on the discussion page at Rupert Grint when I find it. EDIT: It's there now. -- Crushti 20:25, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RE:AAVE[edit]

Don't worry; I added it back in accidentally when correcting an edit of an anon from a few days ago. I restored your deletion. I'll leave it to others to debate this. - Calgacus (ΚΑΛΓΑΚΟΣ) 01:07, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Republican Primary Presidential Polling Map4.png[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Republican Primary Presidential Polling Map4.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 21:18, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Scene Aesthetic[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article The Scene Aesthetic, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of The Scene Aesthetic. tomasz. 01:14, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks man, and I'll do everything I can to try and stop the deletion. John (talk) 22:17, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, i have participated... if nominating it for deletion isn't participating, i dunno what is. i also explained why i think it should be deleted, and i also why having an album on iTunes isn't worth a hill of beans. Also please mind WP:CIVIL with regard to swearing at other editors. Ta, tomasz. 09:05, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
you might also consider that it's not that i haven't participated, it's that you've been discussing it in the wrong place. tomasz. 09:29, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Blob.png[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Blob.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:44, 14 May 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 00:44, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:56, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
