Proposed deletion notice[edit]

I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Jane Velez-Mitchell, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Jane Velez-Mitchell. You may remove the {{dated prod}} template, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Blocking[edit]

Blocking IP's that are used by vandals who refuse to acknowledge repeated warnings to cease their activities is a legitimate part of an administrator's duties. This is true of all administrators, not just me, and thus, it does not make me "special" or the "Internet police". It's why administrators have this ability. Sometimes this means that legitimate users who use the same IP number as a vandal end up getting blocked as well, and yes, that means that the legit user has to create an account. It's unfortunate, but it's part of the limitations of anonymous IP editing. Which IP were you using? If you're new, I assure you that this is the case, and if you ask around, others will confirm this for you. If you feel that any of what I just said is false, or not supported by WP policy, please feel free to discuss it with me, or alert another administrator. However, you should be aware that among Wikipedia's policies are Civility, Assume Good Faith, and No Personal Attacks, and the insulting language in the message you left me violates these policies. If you have a problem with some other editor or administrator, try to work it out in a polite and civil manner. No, I'm not going to block you at this time, but if you ignore this warning, and continue to attack other users, then yes, you will be blocked, if not by me, then by someone else. If you have any further questions or need advice about contributing to Wikipedia, just let me know. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 23:12, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
