Thanks! I've been lurking for a really long time, and I did some editing in 2010 in the German version so I'm not *all* new. I have appreciated your work for a while, happy to be here not just in spirit. Cupidissimo (talk) 13:02, 23 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome, and thanks for the compliment. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions.--Cúchullain t/c 13:19, 23 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please read this notification carefully:
A community discussion has authorised the use of general sanctions for pages related to the Gamergate controversy.
The details of these sanctions are described here.

General sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimise disruption in controversial topic areas. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to these topics that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behaviour, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. An editor can only be sanctioned after he or she has been made aware that general sanctions are in effect. This notification is meant to inform you that sanctions are authorised in these topic areas, which you have been editing. It is only effective if it is logged here. Before continuing to edit pages in these topic areas, please familiarise yourself with the general sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

This message is informational only and does not imply misconduct regarding your contributions to date.

FYI[edit]

I did a partial revert of your edit on the GG page. Since it is an op-ed (I think, my one semester of German hasn't helped me much,) we should make sure it's attributed to the writer. I've also updated the quote and the paraphrasing based on my reading the talk page archives. Let me know if this doesn't address your concerns with the Gamestar bit. — Strongjam (talk) 15:13, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I don't actually think it's an op-ed, the article is headlined "What is GamerGate about?" and attempts to explain the history of the controversy. Cupidissimo (talk) 15:28, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
In that case I'll try being bold and re-write. I kind of think the paragraph is a mess anyway. — Strongjam (talk) 16:00, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
