Hi Curtis; thanks for your note (and for your good work on the Burgess Hill article in recent months, which I've noticed on my watchlist). The best documents to use when discussing county boundaries and similar are usually things issued by the district or county councils on their own websites. These often have a wealth of information. Some searching has revealed a few sources, which I will add to the article shortly. In theory, a map is also acceptable as a source if it is correctly cited, although other sources that actually state the position explicitly are preferable. I might add a reference to my OS street atlas. (The area in question is the bit around Theobalds Road and Charlwood Road, I think, isn't it?) As well as the changes in the lead paragraph, I've added a paragraph in the Governance section covering the issue in a bit more detail. It could probably be expanded and/or moved to another section if any further sources yield any more useful info. Cheers, Hassocks5489 (tickets please!) 22:00, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like that infobox parameter is only allowed to have one entry (I've just tried as well, and got a similar error). I looked at Tamworth, which was historically split between two shire counties, to see what was done there, and only one (Staffordshire) is shown in the infobox. I think the explanation in the lead will have to suffice. Hassocks5489 (tickets please!) 22:33, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
