Coast Guard colors[edit]

Regarding this change, can you provide a reference indicating where you got this information? I am looking at the United States Coast Guard Heraldry Manual and I find no specifications for a "Coast Guard Orange" or "Coast Guard Blue" as you have indicated. The only colors I do find specifications for are "US Red" and "US Blue", but neither of these correspond to the hex color block you have specified. Never mind. I found the specification within the imagery in the document, not the text. For the record, the name is "CG Red" even though it is listed as Pantone 179C (a shade of orange). I'll make the required corrections. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:59, 3 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

cutteragent Yes CG Red is 179C, and CG Blue is 307C, officially. I wrote that manual for the Coast Guard, and did my best to make everything verifiable...sounds like it still needs some work in the next revision! Cutteragent (talk) 20:43, 3 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
