February 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Jonjo Shelvey, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Please stop adding irrelevant adjectives to pages. Bento00 (talk) 21:27, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What are you talking about? Are you trying to tell me he is not bald? It is quite evident from the photo in the article that he is indeed, bald. CyberWallrus (talk) 21:40, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Cyril Farrell. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Diannaa (Talk) 22:53, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

How is it controversial? This is all well known stuff amongst his fans! CyberWallrus (talk) 00:30, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did with this edit to Cyril Farrell. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Diannaa (Talk) 00:31, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What are you talking about? Go away and stop wrecking my talk page with pointless warnings. CyberWallrus (talk) 00:32, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Just a personal note to let you know that we require sources for additions to the encyclopedia, and we are not doing trivia sections any more. Please do not add the content again unless you can find it in a reliable source such as a newspaper or magazine (online content is ok too of course, but not all of it). --Diannaa (Talk) 00:34, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ok I will try to find sources, but these are usually spread through worth-of-mouth amongst fans. They are well known trivia pieces about Cyril so finding sources should be no problem. Watch this space. CyberWallrus (talk) 00:37, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yea but we just don't do trivia any more. We are building an encyclopedia here, not a blog or a Myspace page. Baldness is not a notable attribute either. --Diannaa (Talk) 00:40, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Shelvey is bald. That is a fact, and Wikipedia is a fact based encyclopedia. Problem? CyberWallrus (talk) 00:45, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Jonjo Shelvey. Users who edit disruptively or refuse to collaborate with others may be blocked if they continue.

In particular, the three-revert rule states that:

  1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  2. Editors violating the rule will usually be blocked for 24 hours for a first incident.
  3. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes. Work towards wording, and content that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. --Diannaa (Talk) 18:15, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not make test edits to articles, as you did with this edit to ESPN, even if you intend to fix them later. Such edits constitute vandalism, and will be reverted. If you would like to experiment further, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Diannaa (Talk) 23:23, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It wasn't a "test edit" as you say, I knew exactly what I was writing, and adding relevant links. And once again you remove information I added. Buzz off! CyberWallrus (talk) 23:53, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
