USAR

Thanks for asking me about my thoughts on a potential USAR article. I listed it because its something obvious that was missing. You can do the article if you want. I had a few things in mind: having a list of champions (like I did in American Speed Association), rookies of the year, a history of the sanctioning body, and a summary of whatever interesting interesting things I find on search engines. There will need to be quite a few redirects with all the names and title sponsors that the series has had. There are lots of drivers to check/fix the links.

Right now I'm concentrating on the Daytona Beach Road Course(as I called on the project's page), so I had no immediate plans to work on the USAR article. The Daytona Beach article is looking like it will be fairly long. It sure is a historic place. I keep finding excellent information on older drivers (early 1900s) that I add to their page.

Please review my comments to you on Scott Pruett's talk page.

Thanks for all you've done on this project. You've done a great job! Royalbroil 01:43, 8 March 2006 (UTC)

I finally started an article on USAR in my sandbox. I'm torn what to call the article. Should it be "Hooters Pro Cup", "USAR Pro Cup", "USAR Hooter Pro Cup", etc.? There will need to be quite a few redirects to this article. Please review the article and comment/contribute. Please leave comments on my main userpage under the USAR section (#4). Thx Royalbroil 02:21, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

I suspect you missed my request. Please comment so I can move it to article space. You can edit it there if you'd like. I am anxious to get started on the NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division, Midwest Series article with User:Bdman. Royalbroil 05:06, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

Seemingly random reply

Heh, in response to your question, I'm actually not a Jeff Green fan, nor have I ever been. I suppose that ever since I discovered shockingly that he didn't have an article when I first joined the WikiProject, and since creating it I've just tried to keep it a good, well updated article. I could (and should) be doing the same with other drivers' articles, but time has been a little restrictive as of late; maybe I'll have a chance to go through some of them soon.

I have been a huge Jeff Gordon fan since he was a rookie, though. I have several books on him that I could use to expand that article, too. Truthfully, I have refrained from editing his page (along with other Hendrick-related articles) for fear of possible WP:NPOV problems, but as a St. Louis Rams fan I did fine with The Tackle, so we'll see.

Glad to see my edits are being noticed, though. :-) Keep up the great work yourself, especially with the NASCAR Rookie of the Year and List of NASCAR teams articles! DomRem | Yeah? 00:09, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

Olbermann

Regarding the Bias article and O'Reilly article:

Olbermann DOES start off EVERY SINGLE program with a negative story about President Bush or some other conservative. I challenge anyone to show me an edition where he hasn't

Mike who called into O'Reilly's show WAS a memeber of a group because he was blogging about it on the wingnuts website. Furthermore, he admitted it again when he was interviewed by Olbermann. These are factual, verifiable points.

Why don't we be honest here, instead of trying to spin this article out of neutral bounds?

Three revert rule

Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert an article to a previous version more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you. -- Rhobite 23:14, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

Hi,

We started a proposal Wikipedia:Wikiethics to state the existing policies coherently and make suggestions on improving the editorial standards in Wiki. I thought you might be interested in contributing to that proposal.

Unfortunately, a pro-porn and pro-offense lobby is trying to make this proposal a failure. They unilaterally started an approval poll although almost no one including me believe that it is time for a vote, simply because the policy is not ready. It is not even written completely.

Editors who thinks that the policy needs to be improved rather than killed by an unfair poll at the beginning of the proposal, started another poll ('Do we really need a poll at this stage?') at the same time. The poll is vandalized for a while but it is stable now. A NO vote on this ('Do we really need a poll now?') poll will strengthen the position of the editors who are willing to improve the ethics policy further.

If you have concerns about the ethics and editorial standards in Wiki, please visit the page Wikipedia:Wikiethics with your suggestions on the policy. We have two subpages: Arguments and Sections. You might want to consider reviewing these pages as well...

Thanks in advance. Resid Gulerdem 00:13, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

I would love your help.

Hi,

I know you are interested in christianity, and I recently started a new wiki over at wikicities which is on the subject of christianity. Christian Knowledge Base is the site.

The goal is to have a knowledgebase on christianity from a distinctly "C(hristian)POV" rather than the NPOV. It is not meant to be a mere Christian Encyclopedia, but to foster a real sense of community. I'd like to include things like current events, news, stories, and anything that would add to both an understanding of Christianity, but also its enjoyment. I'm looking for help to build a resource that could really enrich the lives of Christians.

I know you are busy but I am actively seeking new sysops/admins to help me build this site up, and I would be positively thrilled if you could contribute in any capacity whatsoever. nsandwich 05:51, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

Esperanza Newsletter, Issue #1

Reach out is a program aimed at allowing users to bring issues that they have had in Wikipedia to a listening, sympathetic and caring audience:
"No one can know how we feel if we do not say. We cannot expect to get understanding if we do not ask for it. No one will dispute that sometimes life's issues are too much for one person. It is fair to say that sometimes Wikipedia's problems fall under the same heading. This is a place where you can bring the bruises that can sometimes be got on this project for attention."
The Stress alerts program aims at identifying users who are stressed, alerting the community of thier stress and works in tandem with the Stressbusters at trying to identify causes of stress and eliminating them.
Note from the editor
Welcome to this new format of the Esperanza Newsletter, which came about during the last Advisory Council meeting - we hope you like it! The major changes are that each month, right after the Council meeting, this will be sent out and will include two featured programs and a sum up of the meeting. Also, it will be signed by all of the Advisory Council members, not just Celestianpower. Have an Esperanzial end of March, everyone!
  1. Future meetings are to be held monthly, not fortnightly as before.
  2. Bans and Access level changes (apart from autovoice) in the IRC channel are to be reported at the new log.
  3. In the IRC channel, there is going to be only one bot at a time.
  4. The charter requires members to have 150 edits and 2 weeks editing. Why this is the case will be clarified.
  5. A new Code of Conduct will be drafted by JoanneB and proposed to the Esperanza community.
  6. The NPA reform idea is to be dropped officially.
  7. Charter ammendments are to be discussed in future, not voted on.
  8. The Advisory Council is not going to be proposed to be expanded by the Advisory Council themselves, if others want to propose it, they will listen.
Signed...

That would be no problem at all, I'm glad to help. Esperanza Newsletter, Issue #2

The Barnstar Brigade is a new program aimed at giving more very deserving yet unappreciated users barnstars. It will officially start on 2006-04-09, but signing up is encouraged before this date:
"Here in Wikipedia, there are hundreds of wikipedians whose work and efforts go un-appreciated. One occasionally comes across editors who have thousands of good edits, but because they may not get around as much as others, their contributions and hard work often go un-noticed. Sadly, these editors often leave the project. As Esperanzians, we can help to make people feel appreciated, be it by some kind words or the awarding of a Barnstar. A project the size of Wikipedia has thousands of editors, so there are plenty of people out there who deserve recognition, one just has to find them. The object of this program is not to flood editors with Barnstars, but to seek out people who deserve them, and make them feel appreciated."
The Stress alerts program aims at identifying users who are stressed, alerting the community of thier stress and works in tandem with the Stressbusters at trying to identify causes of stress and eliminating them.
Information
Welcome to the second issue of the new format Esperanza Newsletter - we hope you still like it! This week, it was delivered diligently by our new dogsbody. MiszaBot (run by Misza13): any execution complaints should go to him. Content comments should be directed at the Esperanza talkpage. Thanks!
  1. The next elections: Approval voting as before and, also as before, an previous leadership member can run. Please submit your name for voting in the relevant section of this page. Voting starts on 2006-04-23 and ends on 2006-04-30. There will be three places up for grabs as KnowledgeOfSelf is leaving Wikipedia. Please see the previously linked page for full details.
  2. The Code of Conduct is now ready for extensive discussion! Specific comments should go to the Code of Conduct talk page, discussion of having one at all should be directed to the main Esperanza talk page.
  3. The current process for accepting proposals for new programs has been deemed fine. All Advisory Council members and the Admin Gen are to endevour to be bold when viewing discussion. If they feel that consensus has been reached, they will act accordingly.
A plea from the editor...
The propsed programs page is terribly underused! Please leave any comments, good or bad, on the page, to help us determine the membership's thoughts on the ideas there.

Esparanzian Civility?

If this [4] (calling fellow-editors 'clueless'), is an example of Esperanza's civility standards, then I'm glad I'm not a member. --Doc ask? 19:09, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

If admins seem to constantly delete userboxes for no reason, or delete userboxes for fake reasons, then something needs to be said. It'd be one thing if this was a rare occurence, but due to the rather frequent occurence of such deletions, it's time someone stands up for what they believe in. --D-Day My fan mail. Click to view my evil userboxes 19:15, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
Fine, stand up for what you believe in. But don't wear a big green Civility Association badge and then engage in personal attacks and incivility. I know what I call that.--Doc ask? 19:24, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
Two wrongs don't make a right. Esperanza was formed to build a greater sense of community among Wikipedians. Making snide remarks about others, even if they have been rude, does not help achieve this goal. Johnleemk | Talk 20:02, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
Dear Doc, (a) please stop insulting the Esperanza community and using a sarcastic tone against fellow Wikipedians and (b) please explain in what way was D-Day's comment incivil? Thank you, Misza13 T C 19:45, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
I have no problems with Esperanza. I don't intend to insult it - it is a noble idea. But if people put notes in their sigs, and bumper stickers on their userpages advertising their membership of an organisation committed to civility and friendliness, then we can expect them to try to live up to their advertisements - not bring said organisation into disrepute. And frankly, if you can't recognise the problem with calling people 'clueless', then well....--Doc ask? 19:59, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
I agree with the doc. Not to single D-Day out, but we really need to apply the standards of ESP if we're going to be members. — Ilyanep (Talk) 20:03, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
I second that. I respect D-Day, but that green E does mean something. -- Banez 04:56, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

As the Administrator General of Esperanza, I feel I must comment. Firstly, I would like to say that Esperanza so far has made some pretty good advances in stressbusting and establishing a sense of community, amongst its members at least. Secondly, I would like to make it clear that, as an organisation, we denounce incivility and personal attacks totally. They are unacceptable. In terms of the issue of being an Easperanzian meaning something, there is currently a proposal in the pipeline to deal with situations when they arise. The code of conduct looks to establish a standard of behaviour amongst all members and, we are currently working on getting consensus for this. In the meantime, please bring any untoward behavior to the attention of the Advisory Committee.--Celestianpower háblame 19:27, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

NASCAR Photos

Hey D-Day,I just added a photo under Denny Hamlin. How do you think that it looks? I think all NASCAR pages should have the driver photo like I have Denny Hamlin's, on TOP of the page. Would you mind if I gradually change a few by moving a few photos. Because I think most people would agree with me when I say a driver photo would look nice on the top of each NEXTEL CuP Page. I just think that the pages look horrible with several photos below the article introduction. However I did notice that the 2005 NASCAR NEXTEL CUP box on the side had a line squeezed in 2005 standings I think it was. I wouldn't mind doing this to a few other pages. Let me know. Feedback greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Awards under NASCAR driver pages

Hello,

I think it looks better if people would list the awards in chronological order from oldest to most recent award.

I edited the Rusty Wallace award page section under his page and I added another award and organized it in chronological order.

What do you think of this way? Also would you like all of the driver pages to look like this?

I just think it looks more organized looking from the start of their career to the end of it.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks, Bdman

Page renovation

Hey there! As you probably know (:points up^^^:), I'm to renovate your userpage. I'm often busy in real life, so it'll take some time, but to do anything at all, I need your input on this, like:

  1. Do you want a design based/ripped off someone else's page or want me to invent something entirely from scratch?
  2. What info would you like to be removed/added/kept/moved to subpages? I.e. do you want it still stuffed or reduce the clutter like I did on my page?

Take your time, think it over and give me a reply, either here or on my talk page. Cheers, Misza13 T C 15:51, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

Recreating deleted content

Hello. It has come to my attention that you have recreated templates that were deleted by administrators as a means of diputing their deletions. I just wanted to let you know that this is not the way that should be done. It is perfectly fine to dispute an administrator's deletion and seek its reversal, especially if you think it is out-of-process, but the proper way to do that is to seek community consensus at WP:DRV for a recreation. I see that you know about DRV, so I just want to ask you to go there first in the future. Recreating deleted content is disruptive and counterproductive, and administrators will simply redelete the content. Additionally, like edit wars, it tends cause unnecessary tension, when a simple DRV listing should do the trick to get the community's input on the matter, and take it out of the hands of both the deleting administrator and the recreator. Thanks for your understanding. :-) Dmcdevit·t 18:37, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

In addition I'd like to request that you stop bringing every little fracking thing to DRV. It's a waste of our time. We are trying to build an encyclopedia here, and we don't appreciate being fought against tooth-and-nail for deleting off-topic, insipid, and stupid things that really have no place here. --Cyde Weys 18:44, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, but the general point is not to express your opinions too much, as people could be offended. I guess I'll delete them. However, thanks for reminding me! _-M o P-_ 23:07, 26 April 2006 (UTC)

There ya go! Good as new. I thought you might like it colorful, so I combined the popular "professional layout" such as on User:Ali K with the multitude of colors on User:Samuel Blanning. The renovation was made in a provisional sandbox: User:D-Day/New. Then I just copied the content onto the main page. When you're happy, you can slap a {{db-owner}} on it and someone will trash it. Or you can keep it for historical reasons. Anyway, if you need something tweaked, just drop a note. Misza13 T C 18:02, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

2006 NFL Draft

On that page, you reverted some perfectly good edits by an IP. I know yesterday we had an issue of IP vandalism and we had to go to semi-protection, but some of the IPs were positively contributing so I removed the semi-protection. Just a reminder to be more cautious on pages that attract a high number of IP editors. Not all of them are bad. Thanks. Pepsidrinka 16:52, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

Esperanza Newsletter, Issue #3

The Administrator Coaching program is a program aimed at preparing Wikipedians for Adminship or helping them understand the intricacies of Wikipedia better. Recently, changes have been made to the requirements of coachees. Please review them before requesting this service.
This would be something like the Welcoming Committee, but for people who have figured out the basics of editing articles; they're not newcomers any more, but they might want some help in learning new roles. Some might like suggestions about how to learn vandal patrol, or mentoring on taking an article to featured status, or guidance with a proposal they plan to make at the Village Pump, for example. In this way, Esperanza would help keep hope alive for Wikipedia because we would always be grooming the next generation of admins.
The Stressbusters are a subset of Esperanza aiming to investigate the causes of stress. New eyes on the situation are always welcome!
Note from the editor
As always, MiszaBot handled this delivery. Thank you! Also, congratulations go to Pschemp, Titoxd and Freakofnurture for being elected in the last elections! An Esperanzial May to all of the readership!
  1. Posting logs of the Esperanza IRC channel are explicitly banned anywhere. Violation of this rule results in deletion and a ban from the channel.
  2. A disclaimer is going to be added to the Esperanza main page. We are humans and, as such, are imperfect.
  3. Various revisions have been made to the Code of Conduct. Please see them, as the proposal is ready to be ratified by the community and enacted. All members will members to have to re-confirm their membership after accepting the Code of Conduct.
  4. Referendums are to be held on whether terms of AC members should be lengthened and whether we should abolish votes full stop.
  5. Admin Coaching reform is agreed upon.

Images in WikiProject NASCAR

I noticed that you added several images from flickr today. VERY COOL! I'm concerned that you didn't add enough information about the origin of these photos. I think you need to provide a link to the original flickr image for it to stand up in the image people's minds. I think this [6] is more what they're expecting. I'd hate to see your time wasted because of something little like the summary. The trend seems to be checking each an every image for copyright infringement (as you probably already know very well). I've been adding all the flickr images that I found to WikiCommons. I went through ALL flickr images today (at least the ones that I thought could legally be uploaded to wikipedia). I noticed that we uploaded the same image for Kenseth, so I'll get rid of one of the duplicates. (What's the bull$@%# above about anti-Packers?? - BOOO! :P) I hope you like your new NASCAR barnstar! Royalbroil 01:45, 9 May 2006 (UTC)

Pardon me. I was looking at Kahne's image when I made these statements. The Kenseth image was tagged properly. Would you go back to Kahne's image and clear it up? I nominated the Kenseth image for deletion, and swapped in the WikiCommons image. SORRY ABOUT THE CONFUSION! Royalbroil 01:58, 9 May 2006 (UTC)

The changes at flickr allow you to sort the images by license, so I looked at every single image in both groups that would be allowable to upload to WikiCommons, and I uploaded anything that I thought was beneficial to WikiProject NASCAR to WikiCommons (and added it to the articles). I use the same handle on WikiCommons if you want to look at what I uploaded. There is a single poor image of Harvick's car in the garage that I didn't upload. I didn't consider what could be uploaded to English Wikipedia, only what could be uploaded to WikiCommons, so there may be more that could be uploaded.

Let me know if you ever decide to run for an admin so I can vote for you. I personally know a few other people on here that I would talk for additional support (you might have a clue who I mean). I bet you'd get widespread support with the WikiProject NASCAR member for all that you've done for the project! I'm not interested in being an admin - I don't have the right personality - you saw how frustrated I sometimes get with the stupid hoops you sometimes have to run through to get something mundane done. Royalbroil 19:22, 9 May 2006 (UTC)

Been busy helping Barno on the modified article. The image that I used for the barnstar is U.S. Govt. free use image. It looks excellent on the WikiProject NASCAR template, but way too small to be seen on the user box template. I don't know what you mean about using the image for a barnstar image, or how to go about doing that. Its funny that an article that appeared about John Holman was for an Australian politician, not the NASCAR owner! I coordinated with the other author, and set up a dis. page. Royalbroil 04:47, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
Here's how uploading with WikiCommons works. You upload the file to WikiCommons just like you do to Wikipedia. You then access the file the same way that you do with Wikipedia. So I've been uploading all of my images to WikiCommons since there is no difference (if they're ShareAlike, Attribution, or my personal creation). I hope you do the same. I've been adding the Category:NASCAR to all NASCAR photos for easier searching later (it works the same as Wikipedia). Royalbroil 02:12, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for the greeting.

Community Justice Newsletter

Community Justice Newsletter

Welcome
Previously, various notices regarding Community Justice have gone out to our members; though this is the first actual newsletter. This issue will contain information regarding decisions made on the first meeting, our new council, and more...!

If you wish to unsubscribe to future newsletters, please add your name to Wikipedia:Community Justice/Do Not Spam.

New Council
Following our first elections, a new council has been elected.Computerjoe and Ian13 remain as chairman and chief executive (respectively); while Eddieh, Wiki alf and Xchrisblackx are replaced as councillors by Ilyanep, Osbus and Covington. The Giant Puffin and Pureblade remain as councillors.
Member Conduct
In the last meeting, the conduct of 4 members was discussed. Ethnopunk will be put on probation, supervised by Ian13, if he/she is incivil during this probation, he/she will be expelled from WP:CJ; the same was decided for Misza13 (voluntarily), and his probation will be supervised by Computerjoe. No action will be taken against Computerjoe.
Barnstar
The Civility Barnstar which our members have designed has been sent to Barnstar and award proposals. We'd appreciate your feedback!

Also, we are planning to make a Community Justice barnstar to give to hard-working CJ members. If you're a budding designer, consider trying to make it, then post your proposal to WT:CJ!

Name and logo change
There has been no consensus reached regarding changing our name and/or logo neither at WT:CJ nor at WT:CJ/M/1. While suggestions are still welcome, no action will be taken at this time.
Programs
We are going to try to create programs to more actively involve our members. If you have any ideas, please drop a line at WT:CJ. We will try to work with WP:ESP on one of these programs, at some point in the future.
Thanks!
Thank you for your time. If you need anything, feel free to comment at WT:CJ or come into our IRC channel [7].

Computerjoe wishes to extend his thanks to User:Robchurch, a non-member who assisted in making {{tracker}} redundant, as well as Misza13 for his continued support and to the whole of this and the previous council.

VandalProof 1.2 Now Available

After a lenghty, but much-needed Wikibreak, I'm happy to announce that version 1.2 of VandalProof is now available for download! Beyond fixing some of the most obnoxious bugs, like the persistent crash on start-up that many have experienced, version 1.2 also offers a wide variety of new features, including a stub-sorter, a global user whitelist and blacklist, navigational controls, and greater customization. You can find a full list of the new features here. While I believe this release to be a significant improvement over the last, it's nonetheless nowhere near the end of the line for VandalProof. Thanks to Rob Church, I now have an account on test.wikipedia.org with SysOp rights and have already been hard at work incorporating administrative tools into VandalProof, which I plan to make available in the near future. An example of one such SysOp tool that I'm working on incorporating is my simple history merge tool, which simplifies the process of performing history merges from one article into another. Anyway, if you haven't already, I'd encourage you to download and install version 1.2 and take it out for a test-drive. As always, your suggestions for improvement are always appreciated, and I hope that you will find this new version useful. Happy editing! --AmiDaniel (talk) 02:16, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

On sig and editing comments

Please do not edit other peoples comments, even if is only to correct spelling mistakes. Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines outlines this.

Also, when you re-inserted your sig, you changed the date of your comment, making it look like what you posted occurred after the reply. Please do not do that, as it breaks the sense of the conversation. Regards, MartinRe 14:03, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for your reply, it's nice to be told I'm polite, especially by someone I'm disagreeing with at the time :)
Wrt to your sig, if it gets trimmed down, I'd suggest leaving it be. Yes, I think adjusting someone else sig is unnecessary, but I do also find long sigs to be difficult to work with when editing. Me, I prefer the simple style :)
As to the userbox issue, I am finding there is a lot of confusion about what "deletion from template space" means. It doesn't mean that userboxes will go away, just that they won't be in template space. For example, look at my user page. See the nice three userboxes? I simply converted {{User Irish}} to use {{userbox}} layout, but my page still looks the same (and I can tweak to look exactly how I want with affecting anyone else). So now if {{User Irish}} gets deleted, my page is unchanged, I'm happy, and people wanting userboxes out of template space are happy. Everyone's happy! That's why I find it hard to understand why people object to moving userboxes out of template space. They're not being "deleted", as the user pages will be still look the same, in fact there's a major advantage, as if I remained with {{User Irish}} that would mean that if anyone vandalised that template, my page would change, along with 100's of others. So, as far as I can see, there are many advantages to moving them to user space, with very few disadvantages (the only one being is that the source is a little longer in the user page, but how often do people edit their user page anyway?) Regards, MartinRe 14:28, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
Hello again. it was good to see your comment that you were going to switch to {{userbox}} (and no, I don't think that classes as using template space). If you have any problems, please let me know, and I can show how to do one or two, and the rest will be same (all the documentation is at {{userbox}} (talk)) Plus, by doing so, you'll learn how to cutomise them yourself, if you so choose. Sure. GEB moved whatever was at your RFA page to a different page, and used the newly-blanked RFA page of yours to put in your new RFA. Major disruption of how RFA works. Your RFA page held your old, unsucessful RFA. There are proper procedures for a 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc. RFA nom, which were not followed, and instead, caused a big mess which I've fixed. I added your name to this. Check it out and put your sig over my generic link, if you don't mind your name being there. Thanks! the_ed17(T)(C)(P)(U)(F)(WW) 02:14, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

DYK

Updated DYK query On June 8, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Stephen Leicht, which you created. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

move

I have moved User D-Day/List of NASCAR teams, years past to User:D-Day/List of NASCAR teams, years past. -- RHaworth 19:33, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

Using "delete"

Please see WP:CSD and WP:AFD before tagging articles for deletion. I have removed your most recent use of the {{delete}} tag from the article Paavima. If you feel that it needs to be deleted, post it at WP:AFD. Thanks --Jay(Reply) 18:25, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

Hi. You removed from the Phil Collins article the fact that he said he would return to Britain if the Conservatives won the 1997 election. I wondered why. Sorry if this is not the correct way to contact you, I am new to this.

This is from the BBC news website: "Oasis frontman Gallagher was quoted on MTV recently as still backing Labour - albeit partly because if the Conservatives get in, "Phil Collins is threatening to come back and live here. And let's face it, none of us want that"."

not sure how to sign this .Simon lukic 13:52, 13 June 2006 (UTC) 13.6.06

Thank you

Hi D-Day/Archive 3, thank you for voting in my RFA which failed eventually at a result of (91/51/8). I do not plan to run for adminship until a later date. Once again, I would like to thank you for voting. --Terence Ong (talk | contribs) 03:28, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

AWB

How do you like your AWB? I looked over WP:AWB and it looks somewhat interesting. Have you found it helpful for WikiProject NASCAR?

Do you want me to not tell you about afd (etc.) articles related to WikiProject NASCAR? Please reply here, I'll check here for a reply. Cheers! Royalbroil 03:10, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

I find AWB useful for things such as removing categories, extra spaces, fixing links and so on. In short, it does a good job of taking care of menial tasks. It takes some time to get a hang of, but it's worth it.

I'd like a notice of NASCAR articles on Afd. I won't consider it votestacking, as it's not an endorsement either way. Thank you! --D-Day What up? Am I cool, or what? 19:22, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

I have registered to be able to use an AWB. I'd like to give it a try. Thanks for your input! Royalbroil 14:14, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for moving this article to its correct name, I figured someone would know what it was really called and fix that up :) Stevage 11:39, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

Bobby Norfleet listed on DYK

I nominated your article on Norfleet for DYK. I think it is an interesting story.

I think you should do an archive. Your talk is way too big. Cheers! Royalbroil 14:09, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
