Thank you for your greeting, but it took a day for me to understad, how could I answer to you the same way in this Wikipedia... In fact, I am not that fan of creating wiki-pages, but I use Quotation mark, non-English usage page very often for my work, so I finally decided to set it up in order, because there were some mistakes (at least in the Russian section) and confusion there, and the data structure was snot that good at all.

I would appreciate if you could check out my writing in the Russian section, as I forgot my English since school, which was 16 years back :)

I just decided to colect all the glyphs info from "non-English usage" into one place, in order to make other text more compact and easy-to use, and, after that, some text (about French and German features) was double-written in different places.

I removed the table and make a link to Quotation mark, glyphs instead (can't understand how to create a Contents section there) - in fact, Quotation mark, glyphs is TOO havy, I think most of the "specific" info is absolutely useless, and can be found in the Overview table - I just can not bring myself to remove all this, for I have made a lot of changes already, and I see some people is not that glad...

I have moved your message here to keep all the threads together. Now as to your points - we split out the glyphs into a separate page to avoid unecessary confusion and I wouldn't have thought we wanted to go back to having lots of glyphs info in Quotation mark. As to Quotation mark, non-English usage I would have thought the same but you are russian so maybe have a different view. My suggestion is to keep all the glyphs info from all languages in Quotation mark glyphs for the convenience of all ... but I don't own th articles. Abtract 07:34, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I replaced the glyph table with the link (is it visible enough? Maybe there must be a kind of mark-out for this link?), and moreover, I offer ro remove all the glyph tables from the "specific" sections - this page is too long. And I also offer to remove usless words like "What is the “left quote” in English is used as the right quote in Germany and Austria, and a different “low 9 quote” is used for the left instead: + Table + This style of quoting is also used in Georgian, Estonian, Icelandic, Bulgarian, Serbian and in Russian. In Icelandic, Bulgarian and Russian, single quotation marks are not used. The double-quote style was also used in the Netherlands, but is now out of fashion -- it is still frequently found on older shop signs, however.", and so on, not only in German section. Firstly, ALL this info can be found just in the Overview table, secondly, most of this text has nothing to do with the German section. (Should we move all this to Discussion page instead of here?)

And a tech. question: is it possible to add an invisible notification for the future editors of the Overview table, that there MUST be links to national references in this table?D.Ignashoff 10:41, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
