Notable alumni - NIT Rourkela

Hi DEFCON5, Once you click on alumni's page you can find more details, I can cite it but is it really necessary in this case? Please undo, thanks!

RESTORATION BISHOP HEBER HALL

Hi DEFCON5. Thank you for changes made in the Bishop Heber Hall section for not having many Citations. I am the Literary and Debating Secretary of the Hall and made the changes accordingly to what has been happening since the previous update. I humbly assure you that I did not involve any malpractices by adding false information. Everything that I updated was legitimate. The issue being, our college is not entirely popular around the globe hence why there is not alot of information on the web about it. I would like to kindly request you to restore all that I updated last night. The section had not been updated for long, I just did it out of good faith to keep people posted about what has been happening in Bishop Heber Hall. Thank you for listening to me.

Hi Prashantkalia1, thankyou for reaching out. I understand your concerns but Wikipedia has few strict policies. I hope you familiarise yourself with them before editing. I have left a welcome message on your talk page with necessary resources for making edits. Thankyou defcon5 (talk) 07:19, 10 April 2021 (UTC)

Bishop Heber Hall

May I please request you to give a proper explanation on why you keep removing the legitimate content I on Bishop Heber Hall under Madras Christian College. You asked me to add Citations, which I did, yet you keep removing it. It is absurd. I assure you that the information I am adding is all true and I do not support malpractices of false information. There is not much of information about our Hall in the web due to it being located in a semi rural area in Chennai. The history of our Hall is listed in our library and I am posting that information here on Wikipedia for new students to read about it. It will help them know more about the place where they reside in. I do it solely out of good faith. Now I got a warning saying that I may be blocked if I edit any further. Please help me solve this issue. I assure you again, that all of this is valid and legitimate information.

Please check clearly these websites is not for any promotional purposes these are to provide information which is the job of Wikipedia as citations directly belong to BITS Pilani and Freshers guide is official from BITS Pilani

https://www.bits-pilani.ac.in/Goa/admissions/Dualdegree https://bitspilanifreshers.wordpress.com/dual-degree/

That page is not updated for so long and lacks many pieces of information which I'm constructively adding, don't revert or edit unnecessary again

MICA

Hi, would you have a look at MICA (institute)? Especially changes like these look definitely COI. Thanks. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 11:29, 19 April 2021 (UTC)

Hi, I trimmed down the unnecessary parts from the article that are non relevant. Still needs more cleanup as the faculty section list is filled with non-notable people. defcon5 (talk) 13:21, 19 April 2021 (UTC)

Necessary Changes: MICA Ahmedabad

Dear DEFCON5: I see you are undoing the changes I have made on MICA_(institute) page citing better sources. Let me tell you that there are tonnes of leading sources including leading newspapers, online journals, BSchool forums, Consultants etc. to vouch for what has been updated. I have cited a few of the most reliable sources including the Times of India. Kindly don't alter it. Let me know if I could be of any help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nadiawala (talkcontribs) 14:21, 22 April 2021 (UTC)

@Nadiawala. Please follow guidelines like use of Peacock terms MOS:PEACOCK and Weasel statements MOS:WEASEL and avoid academic boosterism WP:BOOSTER.

St Stephen’s College Alumni Page

Hey, so there were some very notable people missing from the Alumni page - especially in the Sports section (Olympic gold medalists, World Cup winning cricketers). I’ve added these entries, given that their own pages list St. Stephen’s College in their educational background. I’ve added links wherever this was not the case. Please feel free to correct and improve these entries whenever possible. Further, I added some entries in the Academics section- notable economists and historians. I plan on improving the layout of the section and segregating these entries into Physical/Natural Scientists and Social Scientists. Would love to know if you have any ideas!
