Original research

Hello, I had some questions regarding WP:OR. You recently tagged Shershaah#Historical accuracy with an OR template. I had read Apollo 13 (film)'s historical accuracy section and I largely modeled it on that. My pattern was simple – [depiction in the film] [what happened in reality] [source that supports the latter].

What exactly am I missing and how should it be written instead? I am just providing a source that proves the real-version is real. Does the source need to show the exact same comparison (between the film & reality) that I state? For example: the first line - The talk Vishal Batra gives in the beginning of the film resembles the TEDx talk he gave in 2017 (evident from the same title and similar clothes.) is sourced to this article which contains these words The film recreates a TedX talk by Vishal Batra, Vikram Batra's twin, to serve as a narration point. The original TedX talk, titled, My Brother, My Pride, was delivered by Vishal Batra in 2017. Appreciate your help! Cheers! 2405:201:4013:80F3:B98D:9B26:5DD9:CBBB (talk) 13:41, 30 August 2021 (UTC)

@2405:201:4013:80F3:B98D:9B26:5DD9:CBBB (talk) Hello. Thankyou for reaching out. Please read WP:FILMHIST for more information on Historical accuracy. As it turns out, the section you referred is itself an Original research.defcon5 (talk) 15:40, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
So, should I go ahead and weave it into the Production section and other sections as appropriate? (To confirm, there need to be multiple reliable sources focusing on the film's accuracy for the section to exist separately. Right?) 2405:201:4013:80F3:B98D:9B26:5DD9:CBBB (talk) 15:45, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
yes. For Having a section on film’s accuracy an independent article or book must discuss the film’s accuracy. You should merely quote from that article and provide citation to that article.defcon5 (talk) 15:51, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
Could you also explain why Apollo 13 (film)'s historical accuracy section should not be tagged with an OR tag. (I am aware of WP:WAX, I just want to understand where I am wrong.) 2405:201:4013:80F3:B98D:9B26:5DD9:CBBB (talk) 15:59, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
nvm, just saw it. 2405:201:4013:80F3:B98D:9B26:5DD9:CBBB (talk) 15:59, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
Sorry to trouble you again, could you point out an article where the 'accuracy' section is properly written? I went through the Category:FA-Class film articles and have been unable to find one. Thanks! 16:07, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
There isn’t any particular template for how each section should be written. But you may find article like The Favourite helpful.defcon5 (talk) 16:15, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
Thank you :) 2405:201:4013:80F3:B98D:9B26:5DD9:CBBB (talk) 16:17, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
