Re: War of the League of Cambrai[edit]

Thank you very much for the kind words! Yes, I did write most of the text myself; there were a few stubs that I merged it at various points, but very little of their original wording has survived. I guess the time I spent writing essays in the IB program was actually useful for something ;-) Kirill Lokshin 02:01, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

==Regarding edits to Paris Hilton==[edit]

Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia; it is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you.

......yeah, yeah, yeah....sorry, I would normally never vandalise a page like that but I couldn't resist. It's just that I have a total lack of respect for Paris Hilton and feel that her article should be nothing more than a tiny stub. I mean what has she done to be notable besides be rich? she has been a slut, as is evident from that porno she made. Antimatter 00:25, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to work with you on that case (looks fun as you said). Note that you and I are also working on [1]; :) WikieZach| talk 22:25, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for stepping in on this one. I'm curious, though. Would you rather the conversation take place on your talk page or on the request for mediation talk page for this matter? That particular talk page already has a pretty representative dialogue on it.[2] Rklawton 01:12, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, the thumb one seems shut. The other one may take a while. Your intro seems ok. WikieZach| talk 01:31, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The ITWA hasn't purchased a web domain as of yet, hence the lame geocities site. Additionally, here are two more articles referencing the ITWA and members of said organization: [Article #1] [Article #2] Slyder PilotE@ 12:35, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Both these "articles" are actually commentaries - and they are written by a single commentator. Mention by a single commentator is far far from notable or worthy of mention. Rklawton 15:14, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
They are in fact articles and despite being from the same writer, they are worth mentioning. Slyder PilotE@ 17:03, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Coffee table book[edit]

Thank you for taking this project on for mediation. I will only add that Coffee table book is the example on the wikipedia: grading scheme template in an earlier version (as an example of a typical "stub" class. As a result, the current version of the article probably gets more hits than most articles do. (I was the one who put a prior version of coffee table book as the scheme's example many months ago, because I think it shows how irrelevant text does not make a "stub" into a "start" article.) Anyway, not relevant to the mediation, per se, but it's why I care about the article. Again, thanks. Thesmothete 04:38, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, that's not necessary. All but one of the examples on the grading scheme list link back to prior versions -- that's the point: to show different stages in an article's progression. But, once having linked to the prior version, I suspect some people are curious about "what became of this article" and then click on the current version. So, even if it's not FA status, it should at least be better, and not worse than the early version that's used as the example. Anyway, the main focus should be on resolving this revert war. Military history of Gibraltar[edit]

Hello, some time ago you were involved in helping with the article Military history of Gibraltar during World War II during its A-class room. I have added some new material and tidied up here and there. If you have time, have a look and let me know what you think. Perhaps you may have some suggestions because I wouldn't mind putting it up again for another review. Cheers, -- Chris Btalkcontribs 12:36, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, thanks for your message. I actually re-nominated it about two weeks ago (see here) and again it didn’t pass, so I have been sort of discouraged! It is quite funny really because the only reason I added the timeline in the first place was because it was suggested by someone. I agree with your points though, it’s rather distracting at the top, just like the other table further down. I’ll see what I’ll do. And good luck with college! -- Chris Btalk 17:24, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

wow your talk page is huge, i hope you see this. i notice you had stepped in as a mediator on the thumb wrestling page before, and there is trouble with it again. the user who was adding possibly inappropriate information before is doing it again - i can't find any results from what happened last time though, so i guess i can't say definitively that it is inappropriate. could you take a look at the thumb wrestling talk page, its history, and the edits from Slyder Pilot and offer your input again? thanks very much! - Shadowsill (talk) 18:11, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Here is the link for the discussion, [3]. I'm not a meditator so all i can, and try to do is to get arguments for both sides. For now Slyder Pilot convinces me much more then the other party. He gave reliable links from the Sun. Log in, log out (talk) 19:55, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
