how do i contact someone regarding the content of a page, specifically a Lost related page and/or a member of the lost development/watchers group...im new at this and trying hard yet confused??!!**%%

Hi DUBJAY04. Everyone is an editor around here, and we all check and fix things that we come across. If there is an issue on a specific page then a usual procedure is to mention something on its talk (discussion) page. There is also a Wikipedia:WikiProject Lost you might be interested in taking a look at (I assume you're talking about the TV prog). -- zzuuzz (talk) 23:21, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I use the four tildes, I don't know why you sent me that message. (Phattonez 23:55, 11 January 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Persistent vandals need to be warned repeatedly. If that is not effective, the IP is reported to this page WP:AIV (at that point, an administrator may block the IP for a while). Anyone may report a vandal there. I am watching that IP and others. I will report, or someone will, the next time he/she vandals. Thanks for helping clean up vandalism. Katalaveno 02:58, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It should be put on AfD. I can do that later today. --Fang Aili talk 14:35, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting multiple revisions[edit]

I noticed your request for help with vandalism that you were having trouble reverting (I've sorted it now). If you come across multiple-revision vandalism of this sort, go into the page history (using the 'history' tab), and click on the date of the most recent good revision (usually the most recent by a user other than the vandal). Then, you can click 'edit this page', and save with an edit summary like 'rv vandalism' (not changing anything on the page), and the page will be reverted back to that revision. Hope that helps! --ais523 18:24, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

Dumbasses[edit]

Here is the deletion log for that article (I happened along your question about it). As for the recreation and protection, I'm not sure. timrem 02:21, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yup. Here's the entire deletion log too. You can search by article or admin. When you tag something for deletion and you want it recreated and protected ("salting" with {{deletedpage}}), you can put "recreated multiple times, please salt", or words to that effect in the edit summary. Then the deleting admin will take another look at it. Does that answer your question? --Fang Aili talk 14:36, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wagon Wheel[edit]

Hi there! If you just edit the AfD and add a line saying something like "Keep - I'd like to withdraw my nomination" then, as there haven't been any Delete opinions as yet, an admin might decide to close it early. That being said, it looks as though the article is safe, and you don't really need to do anything; you can just let the AfD run to its conclusion. Tevildo 23:30, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You can e-mail me from my user page if there's anything you'd prefer not to discuss on-wiki. I can't see what that might involve, but... :) Tevildo 23:56, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Click on "E-mail this user" in the toolbox at the left of the page. Tevildo 00:15, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pop-ups[edit]

It should be added automatically, however, I just started using this as well, so I'm not the best person to ask! Lunokhod 23:57, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ardis G. Egan[edit]

To some, it might be appropriate to put it on Ardis G. Egan page. However, my biography is extremely short, and I am without a picture. It will be too short. I believe that the Egan page will help address it more.--69.236.186.87 00:19, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

User warnings have been updated[edit]

Heya, take a look at WP:UTM. Looks like the old warnings are being deprecated. --Brad Beattie (talk) 00:13, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ive always gotten some funky looking preview messages when I use the new warnings, so I have stuck with the old ones, I guess Ill give it another try. DUBJAY04 00:19, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, check this out User_talk:66.44.193.74DUBJAY04 00:29, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah yeah, don't sign. The template signs for you. Just add "{{subst:uw-vandalism1|Some article}}". Don't sign. --Brad Beattie (talk) 00:54, 24 January 2007 (UTC) Oh, and don't forget to "subst:". --Brad Beattie (talk) 00:56, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you[edit]

Thank you so very much for catching the severe vandalism to the Langston Hughes article. I have given up trying to figure out what goes on in the minds of some the vandals. Again, thank you.TonyCrew 02:06, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Some bots probably use the same red flags.[edit]

I do use popups. However, it still takes time to load the diff. Furthermore, please remember that most bots that fight vandalism probably use the same red flags that I do. If someone reverts you, don't say that I didn't warn you. Will (Talk - contribs) 02:07, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How is this article pure vandalism? Herostratus 06:26, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I can find no information on it except for a hotel with the same name. as well, what does ""poblation" mean? I cant find a definition for that word.DUBJAY04 15:44, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What-the fuck-ever. The page gets erased twice for no reason, why is that less important then any other upcoming album page? It's got a source. --PDTantisocial 09:53, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Queens Park A.F.C. speedy deletion[edit]

You might wanna reconsider the speedy deletion tag you placed at that page as Queens Park A.F.C. and Queen's Park F.C. are two different football clubs. Yonatan (contribs/talk) 10:39, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

CSD A7 is only for articles that are patently not notable. As this is an established competition and described as "premier" it does not meet the criterion, as it would be a debatable issue. You may add prod tag or take to AfD. Speedies are only for non-controversial deletes (apart sometimes for objections from the article creator of course). Tyrenius 13:39, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Roslyn Walker[edit]

I didn't put speedy delete {db-bio} into the Roslyn Walker because the person does actually seem to exist and has a number of news interviews (eg: BBC) written about him. But yeah, after re-reading the article, it almost seems like Roslyn himself wrote it  :-) 68.146.221.56 22:12, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Electricall meter[edit]

The explanation that was copied from the talk page is IMAO better then the one there now. If nothing else the picture with the numbered/explained parts should be included. 68.39.174.238 00:44, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Shashwat is also a cryptid. Don't be like a jerk and look at my contributions to see if they are worthy. That is not nice.

VIKTOR KOZENY[edit]

THE PAGE ON VIKTOR KOZENY IS VERY SLANDEROUS AND HAS ABSOLUTLEY NO CITATIONS WHATSOEVER. EACH TIME I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO EDIT THE SLANDEROUS, UN-SOURCED MATERIAL, AND LEAVE ONLY THE HARD FACTS, AT LEAST FOR THE TIME BEING, IT HAS BEEN ALMOST IMMEDIATLEY REINSTATED IN ITS ENTIRETY. THANK YOU. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jgatsby111 (talkcontribs) 03:14, 6 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

the article still needs some work, but thank you for responding so promptly with the link. i plan on researching the topic further and improving the article even more. Thanks.

My Apologies[edit]

If a link no longer exists, then you can not verify the content that was referenced by it, so in my opinion the link may as well be deleted. -Regards Nv8200p talk 04:26, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Th' Cigaretz, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Tim Mixon[edit]

Hi. About a couple years ago, you deleted my article entitled Tim Mixon. Tim Mixon was then a star player on the Cal football team. But you deleted him. He then got drafted by the Packers and is now in the NFL. Someone else made an article and, thank goodness, it was kept. Thanks for your brilliant decision there. You are obviously a racist. Fortyniners9999 (talk) 22:51, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Ardis Egan[edit]

The article Ardis Egan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence subject has been the recipient of significant coverage in reliable sources.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
