WikiProject Football[edit]

I have newly added my name to the list on WikiProject Football but I was wondering if you could add their box on my user page next to the Scottish Football task force box as I'm unsure how to do this.

I'm also currently creating the new article for Willie Watters (ex-Kilmarnock et al) and I was also wondering if there was going to be a longer list of articles requiring creation?

I was also wondering how to jazz up my user page a bit more like your one? Rusty1111 : Talk 13:23, 16 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Response[edit]

Thanks for getting back to me. BScot added the box for me and thanks for the link for the page design. I've completed the info box for Willie Watters so far. Rusty1111 : Talk 14:56, 29 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

On Watters, I've noticed on his information box that from the Neil Brown UK transfers that a few of his clubs have a crossover on the seasons but I've just input as it is shown. I have a good Kilmarnock book listing ex-players and also a good interview from WW on a Killie website.

I was wondering if you could add the box onto my user page saying how long I've been on Wikipedia and I'll use the design page to do some more updates to my page later on. Rusty1111 : Talk 15:33, 29 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for that. Rusty1111 : Talk 17:24, 29 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello[edit]

Hi, Nice to see your name pop up on my watch list now and again.Blethering Scot 21:55, 29 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

To be honest I avoid the project like the plague now and only pop in when I really have to. At the end of this season I will abandon it all together, felt I had to continue until the end of the season to avoid the season articles not being updated. I mostly concentrate on theatre articles, something that is massively under represented on Wikipedia. Hope you are well.Blethering Scot 23:03, 6 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Queen of the South Season 2016-17[edit]

Can you update the kits for the current season? I asked Blethering Scot but he hasn't delivered.

Link below. Many thanks. Rusty1111 : Talk 08:18, 22 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Invite to the African Destubathon[edit]

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:14, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stephen Dobbie's Career Stats[edit]

I have been updating Dobbie's career stats with totals for all of his club spells, which are many, and I'm trying to fix the loan spells that he had at Blackpool and I cannot seem to figure out the rowspan to square the columns up? I've managed to do this for the other clubs' cloumns though. Could you fix this for me, please? Rusty1111 : Talk 18:02, 12 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for updating that for me. I'm sure that I had already tried rowspan="3" but this had not worked. The video was also a great help. Are there any other usual videos for Wiki editing? Rusty1111 : Talk 08:29, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the videos link. I was wondering how to jazz up my user's home page to be more like your one? Rusty1111 : Talk 11:55, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the link. Are there many articles up for creating in the Scottish Football Project? Rusty1111 : Talk 15:20, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

No worries. You have been extremely helpful thus far. Rusty1111 : Talk 21:57, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ramage[edit]

Hello, long time no speak. It was an odd sort of edit, so I should really have looked into it further before undoing. I've undone mine now. Thanks for noticing. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 11:57, 15 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Football players photos[edit]

What are the rules for uploading photos to a footballer's page and how do you go about this? I am particularly looking at Derek Lyle's page where he is playing for Hamilton Academical. Lyle has played for Queen of the South more than any other club and I would like to replace the Hamilton photo with one from Queens. Rusty1111 : Talk 07:29, 7 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your reply to the Derek Lyle photo query. I'll give this a try. Rusty1111 : Talk 09:18, 14 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm planning to update more players photos but I don't appear to be able to upload the video that I used for Lyle's photo. Could you update the video to my page again, please? Rusty1111 : Talk 09:43, 3 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
