Welcome![edit]

Hi there! Welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for all your contributions to racing related articles, yu certainly are knowledgeable on those matters. I hope you like it here and stick around. If you want, you can drop us a note at Wikipedia:New user log to introduce yourself.

Just a couple of tips, I noticed you have uploaded a lot of images, however, some do not have copyright tags, which are required, these images could well be deleted soon unless an image tag is added, have a look at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for more info.

You can sign your name on talk pages by using three tildes (" ~~~ ") for your username and four (" ~~~~ ") for your username and a timestamp. But they shouldn't be added to the articles themselves.

You might also want to take a look at the welcome page. The Wikipedia tutorial also gives a lot of basic info that will help get you oriented on Wikipedia.

If you have any other questions about the project then check out Wikipedia:Help or Wikipedia:Where to ask a question. You can also drop me a question on my talk page.

Happy editing and again, welcome to Wikipedia! - Akamad 23:28, 10 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Skittles[edit]

Hi DaNASCAT, welcome to Wikipedia. I hope you like it here, it's an interesting place. I was wondering if we really need articles on:

or if we could create redirects for each of these to link to the main Skittles (candy) article, and have a brief note about each of them there. What do you think? Cheers.--Bookandcoffee 19:53, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

NASCAR[edit]

Hi DaNASCAT, another warm welcome. I noticed your interest in NASCAR, and would like to invite you to join Wikipedia's NASCAR project. We sort out NASCAR articles and bring them out up to code, as well as having an up-to-date reference on NASCAR events. You seem to have a lot of knowledge about NASCAR, so I hope you'll consider joining us. Happy editing! --D-Day 21:25, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:JoshRicheson.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:JoshRicheson.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. Longhair 09:02, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion[edit]

Hi Tim, it's me again. Listen, great job on your NASCAR articles. I enjoy reading them, especially because they are about peole that some readers may not know about. I just have some quick suggestions: First, Busch Series is never capitalized, and whenever you refer to the Cup series, it may be a good idea to refer to it as the Winston Cup Series if the event happened before 2004, just to avoid confusion. Another thing to keep in mind, don't use excessive spacing at the end of sections because

Reading[edit]

sections

that look like this[edit]

can be

unpleasing to the eyes[edit]

Finally, make sure that the tone of the article is formal and doesn't read like a fan-page biography, although that hasn't been a problem with yours. Other than that, keep up the good work, and I look forward to reading your next contribution! Happy editing! --D-Day 21:46, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Aaronfikethedriver.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Images[edit]

Hello - You seem to be having trouble understand how image copyrights work. Unless someone explicitly releases the copyright to their image, it is considered 'all rights reserved' by law. Because of this, I have listed many of the images you uploaded at WP:PUI. Do not upload any more images until you make yourself familiar with Wikipedia's copyright policies. If you have any questions, I'll be glad to help! -SCEhardT 02:27, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

North Carolina State Highways[edit]

I've moved all of the "NC x" pages to "North Carolina State Highway x" pages for consistency with other state highways across the U.S. --Rschen7754 (talk - contribs) 02:58, 19 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

L.D. Ottingter[edit]

Hi, you may wish to use {{Inusefor|time (message)}} where time (message) is the amount of time you will take on the page you are editing. This will give people an idea on how long you will take in the article. It's better than {{construction}}. Hope this helps. Kilo-Lima|(talk) 17:19, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
