Not quite ready[edit]

In my opinion, the article (here) is not quite ready to move into article space, although it looks to me like it could be a good contribution with a little cleanup. I'll explain why, and remove the request to move this article into article space. Other editors may feel differently, so if you disagree with my reasons, feel free to replace the move request template, and someone else may move it for you.

One of the important requirements of an article in Wikipedia is that it demonstrate the Notability of the topic. (While this is a guideline, not an absolute requirement and exceptions can occur, they are rare.) I don't feel this article has demonstrated the notability of the topic. This can be accomplished by adding references to reliable sources which support the notability of the topic. Notter is most certainly notable, but the notability has to be demonstrated with references to reliable sources, not simply asserted.

Wikipedia articles have a specific structure to them, specified in a guideline called Layout (Click on the link to see the details). Your draft doesn't incorporate some of the required elements of the structure. If you read the page, it will help you understand what is needed and how to do it. In particular, you've written it as a single section, which is appropriate for only the shortest of articles.

It is important for Wikipedia articles to have references to reliable sources. While you have one reference, I believe you need additional references to make this article acceptable. Please add some references to support the factual claims in the draft article.--SPhilbrickT 11:10, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for the input. I've updated the article layout based on what I've seen in other articles - I hope this is acceptable. I also added one recent reference. Some of the other information (e.g. a past board membership) is difficult to substantiate.
Do you have any other specific thoughts here before this article is ready to publish? Thank you again Dagrahamster (talk) 05:05, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
