user script[edit]

Hi there! The user script you installed in your monobook.js (the assessment script from User talk:Outriggr/assessment.js) has added your userpage to the list of unassessed university articles. There's a "fix" in the updated code in the installation section on Outriggr's page. Well, if you're still using that user script from Outriggr's page, you should be able to tag something and assess it simultaneously. If you're on an article's page, clicking the assessment with "WikiProject Universities" displayed in the dropdown will add both the tag and the assessment to the talk page (which I'm sure you've realized at this point). Earlier, you'd mentioned that you were mostly just assessing Stub- and Start-Class articles, but don't be afraid to assess the ones you think are B-Class (you'll almost never need anything above that, since the other ratings usually require a "formal" process anyway). Colleges in Quebec[edit]

Hello, I noticed that you have inserted wikiproject university templates in the talk pages of Dawson College and Marianopolis College. I'm not sure whether they be included since the colleges in Quebec are called CEGEPs where it is mandatory in order to attend university and only grants vocational or technical degrees. Tagging of Games n' Music Homebrew Compatibility List[edit]

I recently removed a speedy delete tag that you had placed on Games n' Music Homebrew Compatibility List. I do not think that Games n' Music Homebrew Compatibility List fits any of the speedy deletion criteria because the links provide sufficient context for a user intersted in expansion, although the aricl needs celanup and batter sourcing, and might not survive an afd. the other reasons cited in the speedy delete tag are appropriate at Afd or maybe WP:PROD but not for speedy delete. I request that you consider not re-tagging Games n' Music Homebrew Compatibility List for speedy deletion without discussing the matter on the appropriate talk page. Because it is vandalism, i.e. a deliberate attempt to compromise the integrity of Wikipedia. Please stop inserting that phrase, which is entirely unrelated to sports or sports players, in articles. I restored 68.163.157.64's original comment, which was vandalized after (s)he left it. This comment should be kept because it's not making that statement about the Pascarelli family, it's explaining why 68.163.157.64 deleted that statement from the article. One more thing: I noticed that the userbox isn't including users who have it in the category, but it is including {{User:Twas Now/Userbox/WikiProject Psychedelics, Dissociatives and Deliriants}}. Deletion of new article[edit]

Hello Danelo. Can you explain your reasons for deleting the new article for Peter Knobler? Not only is he referenced throughout wikipedia already (the entry was intended to provide a way to consolidate many of these threads), but the entry itself came tagged with an independent source citing all of his books. Hi there. I didn't actually delete the article, because there never was one. I did, however, decline your request for the creation of the article Peter Knobler. This was because you did not provide sufficient sources for the proposed article. Wikipedia requires that its articles are backed up by reliable, independent sources. The link to Amazon.com was merely a list of the books Knobler has published and thus doesn't qualify. Please note that this does not necessarily mean that Knobler isn't worthy of an article; he may very well be. However, please provide sources to back up your submissions. Thank you, Danelo. At the risk of betraying my own ineptitude, can you suggest a source more reliable than an amazon list? Are the wikipedia entries in which Knobler is mentioned sufficient for this? That would be a reliable, independent source, yes. However, it does not cover Peter Knobler; he is not mentioned. Sources are required not only to verify statements in an article but also to establish the article subject's notability (that is, to show that the subject "has received significant coverage in reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject"). Since this source does not cover Peter Knobler, but rather one of his books, it does not assert his notability and thus would be (on its own) insufficient for creating this article. If the New York Times wrote an article all or in part about Knobler, that would be a suitable source. If you like, you can read Wikipedia's how to develop an article guideline for tips on writing great articles. Hi Use the force. I deleted it because all three links in the section (DMT, tryptamine, and psychedelics, dissociatives, and deliriants) were already linked in the body of the article. Thus, they were redundant. The Manual of style for medicine-related articles recommends avoiding "See also" sections by using wikilinks in the main article instead.

Removed See also's[edit]

Hi Danelo, thanks for your restless improvements to psychedelic-related articles. I do not think that the removal of the See also links is a good idea. The links might be repeated in the templates, but the content of these templates is hidden by default, there is no room for an explaining sentence in the template, and the templates contains articles that might be less related than a selected set of See also links. Hi, that sounds reasonable to me. I've been going through the {{TiHKAL}} and {{PiHKAL}} articles, trying to bring the existing content up to the MoS for medicine-related articles (e.g. converting the existing infobox to the {{drugbox}}, ordering the sections, etc.). It recommends avoiding "See also" sections and including wikilinks in the body of the article, so when I see those I remove them. However, I removed some that weren't already wikilinked in the article body. Until they are, I would agree to keep them (those that are reasonably relevant, of course). WikiProject Pharmacology Update[edit]

Here's a brief update in some of the recent developments of WikiProject Pharmacology!

  • Aspirin has just completed its two week run as the first Collaboration of the Week! Many thanks to those editors that contributed; the article got a lot of good work accomplished, and in particular, much work was done in fixing up the history section. It's still not quite "done" yet (is a wikipedia article really ever done?), but after two weeks I think it's more important to push onwards with the development of the new collaboration of the week program. I will be fixing up Aspirin in the next few days and possibly nominating it for either GA or FA status.
  • Please remember that Wikipedia is not a forum for discussing or dispensing medical advice amongst users. Specifically, talk pages of articles should only be used to discuss improving the actual article in question. To help alleviate this situation, the template {{talkheader}} may be added to the top of talk pages, reminding users of the purpose of such pages. Additionally, unsigned comments and comments by anonymous users that are inappropriate may be removed from talk pages without being considered vandalism.
