Block message:

Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "Sintingegneria". The reason given for Sintingegneria's block is: "Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended or used for publicity and/or promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully. Why can't I edit Wikipedia? Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, celebrity or other well-known individual, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy. Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username? Probably not. See WP:FAQ/Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead. What can I do now? You are still welcome to write about something other than your company, organization, or clients. If you do intend to make useful contributions on some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following: Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must: Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked. If you believe this block was made in error, please see how to appeal a block. ".

Accept reason: Unblocking on the promise of a sound article, and the condition of complying with WP:SPAM and WP:COI. Peridon (talk) 13:07, 24 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

OK. The very obvious question. Are you or have you ever been Sintingegneria, and if not, can you think of any reason for you to be sharing an IP with them? Peridon (talk) 11:47, 24 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Peridon. I'm not and I've never been Sintingegneria but actually, since I'm a student having my apprenticeship in a company called Sintingegneria, i can't exclude that someone in the company is doing something wrong in Wikipedia. Thank you for your collaboration and tell what I have to do to be enabled again

Please sign talkpage posts with ~~~~. OK. The next obvious question. What subjects would you be editing on if unblocked? Peridon (talk) 12:23, 24 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

First of all I'm going to post an article about the Wenner Method. It is a scientific method that defines the way in which to perform measurements of ground resistivity. It is a part of my thesis ~~~~

Actually, I meant 'type in four ~ things' - or you can click on the squiggly thing with the point of a pencil that you can find at the top of one of these windows. The nowiki thing is to stop it working when you are just telling someone about it. It works on all the short cuts and templates. OK. That sounds like a good subject - so long as you get the independent reliable sources in (see WP:RS) (there look to be some, but avoid company sites like the plague - and Yahoo! Answers which is notoriously unsourced. I would add that under WP:COI you should not link to the company you are involved with, as it would lead to thoughts of spam . If there is a good reason for linking, it should be discussed on the talk page first. (If there's no-one discussing, contact one or two admins for advice.) I'm going to WP:AGF on your part (although my nasty mind is a little suspicious...) and I'll try to unblock you. I spend more time blocking spammers than I do unblocking, and I've never done an autoblock before. Here goes... Peridon (talk) 12:59, 24 October 2011 (UTC) (four wiggly things)[reply]
When posting on talk pages, you can indent with : signs at the start. You should be unblocked now. Let me know if not. Peridon (talk) 13:09, 24 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Measurement of ground resistivity requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Gaijin42 (talk) 14:10, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia, thank you for taking the time to create a page here. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you created yourself. Because Wikipedia policy does not allow the creator of the page to remove deletion tags, an automated program has replaced the deletion tag you removed from Measurement of ground resistivity. Please do not continue to remove the deletion tag, instead, if you disagree with the deletion, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the page by clicking this link. Once there, select the button that says Click here to contest this speedy deletion.
  2. This will take you to the talk page, where you can make your case by explaining why the page does not meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do. For further help about the deletion, you could contact the user who first placed the tag or a highly active user who is willingly to help with deletion. This message was left by a bot, so please do not contact the bot about the deletion. Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 14:18, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Advice[edit]

Removing speedy tags from things you've posted isn't allowed, and doesn't work anyway, 'cos a bot puts them back. If it doesn't, a patroller will. What you have to do is give a good reason on the talk page. In this case, I don't think it would have worked as apparently this has been published elsewhere. You can write about the topic, but it must be in your own words (or from something that's in the public domain - you should say so if it is). (Not always easy determining what IS public domain - safer to re-word well away from the original.) If you can show that this isn't copyright stuff, feel free to argue. When you do put your version up, do it at User:Danieleccc/DRAFT (just click that and it'll give you a userspace page). You'll have to redraw the pics too. (Keep you out of mischief for a bit, perhaps...) Good luck. Peridon (talk) 20:22, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not a how-to guide[edit]

Your article on soil resistivity contains some very useful information. Unfortunately, it also contains a fair amount of information that falls outside of the role of an encyclopedia. Wikipedia is not a how-to guide, so detailed instructions on how to measure soil resistivity should not be part of the article. Definitions of factors affecting soil resistivity are appropriate, but step by step instructions on how to measure the resistivity are not. Please do not re-introduce such instructions after they have been deleted. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:27, 26 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this was the first article that you created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

The page Soil resistivity has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appeared to be a direct copy from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Measurement_of_ground_resistivity. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition has been be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion review.
