Please do not make unreferenced, unexplained changes to articles as you did regarding Said Ali. The Wikipedia policy for flags for footballers is to use the flag of the player's country of birth unless they went on to represent a different country internationally. Said has not done so.--Gri3720 (talk) 22:38, 30 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. --Gri3720 (talk) 22:45, 30 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • It seems the confusion was not either of our faults but the fault of whoever made his page. I actually found a few resources [1] and [2] that say he was born in Canada and not Jordan or Lebanon. Although sometimes articles will list "hometown" and not actual birthplace. However, if he were born in Jordan, his flag would never be that of Canada unless he made a national team appearance. Therefore, I concede that a Canadian flag is of course acceptable. But there are still a few points I'd like to make 1. if you would include sources for anything, we wouldn't have had this problem. I see there are multiple messages on your talkpage about referencing edits. 2. just because something is on another wikipedia article does not mean it is correct. Regards. --Gri3720 (talk) 23:03, 30 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
