Doryanthes and Doryanthaceae[edit]

Hi, you were absolutely right to merge these two articles, which has been waiting to be done since 2010 it seems. However, the policy of WikiProject Plants is to use the genus as the main article when there is a single genus in a family. See point (3) at WP:PLANTS#Plant article naming conventions and, as just one example, Daphniphyllum. So I undid your merger, but would encourage you to do it the other way round, i.e. merge the content of Doryanthaceae into Doryanthes. Peter coxhead (talk) 23:46, 31 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Merge of content from I'm not lovin' it[edit]

Can you point me to any discussion of your merge of content from I'm not lovin' it to the article Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, as I can't find any. I think that the content justifiably stands on its own, and while I can envision a case for a merge I don't see that it has been made, discussed and that consensus was to merge the content. There wasn't any discussion; there was a two-year old merge tag on the "I'm not lovin' it" article, with no objection at either Talk:I'm not lovin' it nor at Talk:Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. Based on that and reviewing the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine content which was the same as half of the I'm not lovin' it article, I merely merged the few paragraphs that were not present. I maintain no personal connection to the subject matter and was just acting to clean up the merge backlog so if you feel it's better suited on its own, I will not object to a revert of my edits, as long as the old (2010) merge tag is not returned. --DarkCrowCaw 19:46, 4 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Merger of simming and Play-by-post_role-playing_game[edit]

Hey, I'm about ready to do the merger of these two articles. I was hoping you could look it over or let me know if I'm doing anything wrong. Looks good to me. The only thing I see missing (although, also not sourced) is that the Simming article mentions software associated with Simming; Nova by Anodyne Productions. I guess if there is some sort of source/more info on this, a section on Play-by-post software would be be beneficial, so its not mandatory for the merge at the moment. Outside that, looks alright. Thanks for looking it over. I looked into anodyne as the article was the first I'd heard of it, but their website offers extremely little information and I couldn't find anything on it anywhere else. I don't get the impression it's better known than standard forum software packages like php or vbulletin. Most simmers use those common public products and modify them to their needs. There are some lists of forum software but I think just mentioning it broadly is enough. My next step is to read a book to find some actual sources for the content.--Frugen (talk) 18:23, 13 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect[edit]

What is the problem with a short article "The Red House Report" giving a link to the article Adam LeBor ? The French Wikipedia has two distinct articles, thus it would be good if the article "The Red House Report" in the French Wikipedia had a link to an article in the English Wikipedia. I haven't been active on Wikipedia in seven years with no plans to return. With respect to whichever article you have linked please proceed with whatever action you believe is the best. Whatever I did seven+ years ago may no longer be relevant. Most of my edits were trying to clean up old tagged articles anyway.
