Orphaned fair use image (Image:Brooklyn cover.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Brooklyn cover.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. WikiProject Guster[edit]

I noticed that you've voiced interest in the project. Yay! I doubt that it will actually take off, since it's been there a while, and no one else has volunteered, but, then, we'll just make it a task force (hopefully). - hmwithtalk 06:51, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, thanks for the userpage compliment. I'm a loser, and have no life, so I know that kind of stuff.
As for Guster, I'm always glad to see a fan, especially a new one. Guster's been my favorite band since their first album, (Goldfly. I have been watching them grow as a band and in popularity over the years, and I'm glad that you've discovered them. I hope that you have or will become one of the obsessed, loyal "Gusteroids"!
As for the Manifest Destiny / Sorority Tears single, I was trying to figure out how the do that for a while, but I finally decided that together would be the best way to do it, as it was one song here, kind of, sort of?
Anyways, glad to see your interest in the band, and I hope we can find more members. I look forward to working with you on Guster articles. - hmwithtalk 23:48, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sig[edit]

I see that you usually simply sign your comments with your name. It's a lot easier for everyone if you sign with 4 tildes, like this ~~~~. That way, I don't have to search for "user:darkedge" to comment back every time. Plus, if you use it, everyone can see the time of your posts. Thanks! - hmwithtalk 17:38, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Music userboxes template[edit]

Hello, I saw you were a big music guy and was wondering if you'd be interested in this template:

Where you can list everything musical expect band-3 templates (I might be able to fix that). Message me next you are on. -Sox207 23:10, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You could create a subpage like User:Darkedge/music and put all those with functions in there, and then put |:Darkedge/music in the template. -Sox207 23:12, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah if you want me to I can set up all your music userboxes in there in like 2 minutes. -Sox207 18:34, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done now your page looks awesome. You're going to have to tell me when you are done with your book so I can read it :P. -Sox207 17:59, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:L 3042c16280f19b9c0475c56cd4130675.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ρх₥α 23:11, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:SOSsmall.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:SOSsmall.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 16:59, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:48H.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:48H.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 13:54, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Modern ghosts.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Modern ghosts.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 00:13, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Joke articles[edit]

Please don't create joke articles, as you did with Modern Ghosts. Wikipedia strives to be a serious encyclopedia, and such jokes don't help. Thank you. faithless (speak) 06:17, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Loss of Signal has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unsourced for over a decade.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
