License tagging for Image:Edwinmorgan.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Edwinmorgan.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Nick Hornby's Songbook / 31 Songs[edit]

It appears that you recently copied the contents of a page and pasted it into another with a different name. Specifically, you copied the contents of Songbook (Nick Hornby book) and pasted it into 31 Songs. This is what we call a "cut and paste move", and it is very undesirable because it splits the article's history, which is needed for attribution and is helpful in many other ways. The mechanism we use for renaming an article is to move it to a new name which both preserves the page's history and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. In most cases, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. If there is an article that you cannot move yourself by this process, follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested moves to request the move by another. In this particular case, I would ask that you discuss this move at Talk:Songbook (Nick Hornby book). The book was originally at 31 Songs, but I moved it to Songbook because that was the title under which it was first published, and it is still in print under that title. I first proposed the move on the Talk page, and waited seven months—during which time no one objected—before moving it. I would appreciate the courtesy of a discussion before it is moved again. --ShelfSkewed Talk 15:35, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
