Welcome[edit]

Hello DatOneDude and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your contributions, such as the ones to Capital Steez, do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a new contributors' help page, or you can click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.

I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! -- Dane2007 talk 19:49, 3 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Capital Steez. Thank you. Yinf (talk) 19:37, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unreferenced or poorly referenced biographical content, especially if controversial, to articles or any other Wikipedia page, as you did at Capital Steez. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia by introducing incorrect information, as you did with this edit to Capital Steez. -- Dane2007 talk 03:30, 3 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is only being used for vandalism. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 03:32, 3 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I've unblocked your account, as I see from further details that your edits weren't blatant vandalism as I saw them - they were just poorly referenced and repeated. I recommend that you discuss your edits and the sources you have on the article's talk page before you make further changes. Please keep in mind that repeatedly reverting an article without discussing it constitutes edit warring, which is not allowed. Please let me know if you have any questions. Best -- ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 15:04, 3 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Oshwah: I appreciate it, no vandalism was intended. I am just a fan of capital steez and wanted the correct information on the page. I did not and still really do not know how Wikipedia works. I don't understand how the sources work. I had no idea Wikipedia actually had admins. I thought anyone could get on any page and make any edit and I thought @yinf was just a random person trying to mess with me and changing what I had put, leading me to edit over and over. I will probably not make any more edits on any pages at least not without learning how to do it properly. Thank you again. -@DatOneDude

Hi DatOneDude. I have added a welcome template with some useful information on how editing works here at Wikipedia. I was initially involved in catching your edits as well and initially viewed them as vandalism due to the repetitive nature of them. I apologize for any trouble with that. Please see the reliable sourcing policy for sure when which will help with what I believe you were trying to accomplish. Also, ensure you're leaving edit summaries as well. When you respond at talk pages, be sure to sign with ~~~~ so that it leaves a signature for you. You can use {{ping|Dane2007}} if you have any questions and want to alert me of a response or question here. I am always happy to help out! Welcome aboard! -- Dane2007 talk 19:53, 3 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
